Superior Municipal Forest — Attraction in Superior

If you love the outdoors and wanna get outta the drama packed place called the cities. Stop no further but to this serine and beautiful place full of nature and peace. My Lady, the puppy and myself took a couple days off to get away from the rush of life and negative atmosphere of the city at the moment. And it was soo Amazing. The weather was a little chilly but nothing a good sweater can solve. We hiked for about 7 miles and brought water and a couple snacks which I advise. The third largest municipal forest in the nation consisting of 4400 acres of natural boreal forest along the south of St Luis Bay on the west side of Superior, Wisconsin. Parts of it are included in The Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve. The forest includes many miles of trails for cross-country skiing, biking, walking, snowshoeing. Canoeing, kayaking, boating, and fishing access provides some great experiences along the shoreline of the bay.
