One of many covered bridges we visited today. The bridge is well maintained but we got quite the kick out of the $5.00 fine sign, since no one we saw today even came close to driving over this bridge slowly. Like many of the bridges we saw today, they all were one-way crossing, but the people drove over than well over any posted speed limit. So, be very careful when walking around these locations and watch for speeding vehicles and inconsiderate drivers. Other than that, the bridge is a wonderful place to visit.

The Slate Bridge, nestled over the peaceful Ashuelot River, is a picturesque gem showcasing New Hampshire's covered bridge heritage. Built in 1862, its historic charm and sturdy structure offer a serene backdrop for photography and a peaceful stroll. A must-see for history buffs and nature enthusiasts exploring the scenic beauty of southwestern New Hampshire.

One of the nicer covered bridges around. They redid the wood and paint at some point. The bridge is a nice red and had lighting at night. Part of the NH bridge tour and worth visiting to see an authentic covered bridge.

Another covered bridge. Pretty cool and impressive woodwork. There's no parking lot, you have to park on the side of the road. There's no pedestrian walkway so you can't walk alongside it, just through. Cars were some...
