PER POSTED SIGNS WILL BE CLOSED 5-7JUL22 FOR TREE CLEANUP. DO NOT TRUST GOOGLE PIN FOR THIS, INSTEAD SEARCH FOR TERWILLIGER HOT SPRINGS TRAILHEAD TO SEE CORRECT ACCESS POINT. Beautiful springs. Like other reviews stated, turn right at the dam instead of left like Google wants to take you. Road was paved in all but one small gravel section, my compact rental had no issue. Arrived around 6P on a Sunday to a decent crowd but still ok, started to thin out pretty quickly. Surprised that maybe only 1/10 bathers were nude and the presence of many children made me uncomfortable to disrobe fully until later in the evening. The short tail seemed well maintained and the burnt trees along the springs actually made for a unique aesthetic. Beautiful area,...
Read moreAmazing stop! A few notes: • Download the map to get here and also any music you want to listen to. We drove from Bend and didn’t have service most of the way. • There is a small parking lot with bathrooms you can change in. Keep in mind you’ll need to walk about 10 minutes to get to the springs, and it was a bit muddy. • You’ll need to check in at the pay station. They’ll ask for a name, your vehicle, and they’ll give you a 2-hour time window when you need to check out. When you leave, check back in at the pay station so they can mark you off the list. It’s $10 per person (cash only I think). • We were warned about the possibility nudity. Everyone had suits on when we went, and there were even some kids there. • There is a changing area near the springs too if you want to change out of the wet suit before...
Read moreIt was a bit disappointing that the temperature of the hot spring water was not very hot, but it was a temperature where I could feel the warmth enough, and I visited early in the morning on weekdays and enjoyed the hot spring leisurely by myself. The Nude couple visited, so I left it with consideration. The feeling of walking while watching the falling waterfall is refreshing and it is a place to recommend. The smell of sulfur was not very strong and it was useful because there was a small shelter to change cloth . Next time, I'm going to camp at a nearby camping site and visit early in the morning and late evening . There is no reception so you should down load map before you get...
