With grown kids I have not taken much advantage of what the park district has to offer over the past several years. But this year I joined the dog park and have been having such a wonderful time enjoying what the park district has to offer. The dog park is exactly what you'd hope it would be. Clean, safe, well managed with great communication from the staff. They even cross promote events like the Thursday concert series that you can enjoy from the dog park while letting your pup play. Yesterday I went to the park expecting a some regular play time for my pups when I say a dog party happening at the splash pad next door. Oh my gosh, talk about a crazy fun time. They had closed the splash pad to kids due to the change in seasons, but before shutting it off they had a dog part with a Dj and friendly staff monitoring the event. Read moreVolleyball leagues have been nice, not very advertised, and shortened way too much this past few years,..please let it be known we'd like longer league time... .also please write them if you are interested in wallyball which is much more exercise and fun than volleyball, and the YMCA restricts the courts highly now....only one court left and open wallyball is way too full.
Ps we used to play until May...now league is drastically cut short...your reply person is misinformed about season length. October 14 to Feb 22 and then a few tournaments does not equal 6 months ESPECIALLY with all the holidays taken....Halloween, Thanksgiving week, Christmas, New Year's...the goal is exercise and health for US.......what is it for you?
Please give us more opportunities to play...and how about open volleyball all year long so we can practice our skills????
