Review of Our Honeymoon Stay at Pursell Farms – 9/10 Experience

My husband and I recently spent our honeymoon staycation at Pursell Farms, and it was truly a memorable and relaxing experience—easily a 9/10 for us.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and our massage appointment set the tone for our stay. It was amazing—one of the most relaxing massages we’ve had. My only recommendation would be to consider using a warming device for the massage gel or oil, as that would enhance the experience even more.

The room itself was beautiful and spacious, with a charming balcony that provided a peaceful place to relax. Although there were a few cobwebs and light debris on the balcony, we were still able to enjoy it fully. As someone who is detail-oriented, I did notice a hair in the shower area, but otherwise, the accommodations were clean and inviting.

One important note for future guests: be sure to lock your doors. Housekeeping accidentally came into the wrong room during our stay. It was an honest mistake, but a good reminder to always use the door lock for added peace of mind.

What truly stood out was the care and attentiveness around my dietary restrictions. I was blown away by how intentional and accommodating the staff were. I had the opportunity to meet both the chef and executive chef at every meal, and they went above and beyond to ensure my meals were not only safe but also absolutely delicious. Every dish nourished my body and soul—it was excellence and integrity in action.

We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, which added a lovely personal touch to our stay. Pursell Farms offers a wide variety of activities—some complimentary, others for a fee—including axe throwing, a farm history tour, and a stunning sunset experience.

Ryan and I are so grateful to have had our wedding at Pursell Farms on June 13, 2020! After a series of unfortunate events regarding our initial wedding plans, we were left venue-less 3 weeks before the wedding and in desperate need of somewhere to host. We immediately reached out to the Fraser's who got us in contact with Whitney Forbus. She got the ball rolling so quickly to plan a 140+ person wedding in 3 weeks time! She was so flexible, easy to reach, quickly responsive, and worked so hard to make this the dream day for Ryan and I! She worked out all the bigger details and even asked about how she could incorporate little details to make this day everything we had dreamed! I really don't have enough great things to say about Pursell and their staff!! They were so kind and helpful throughout the planning process and the day-of. They had waters & coffee for us that morning, provided H&MU chairs/tables, took care of all the linens/table/chair setup, and so much more. We especially loved the yummy to-go box they prepared for us after the wedding that even included a slice of our cake! If you are looking for a place to hold your wedding, look no further! Not only is the staff top-notch, but the venue itself is overwhelmingly beautiful! Our guests loved staying at the Inn across the street and enjoying golf & the pool the whole weekend. Pursell Farms provided a breathtaking and unforgettable setting for such a meaningful occasion, our daughter's wedding. Its natural beauty, rolling hills, peaceful views, and wide open skies, offered the perfect backdrop for our daughter’s wedding. Our guests were in awe of the serene and welcoming atmosphere, and every corner of the resort, from the charming accommodations to the perfectly manicured grounds, reflected a deep sense of care, tradition, and true Southern hospitality.
