I don’t even know where to start. Me and my family was fishing at a picnic spot for a couple hours and we had pulled the car on the grass because my infant was sleeping and it was poring (there was no signs saying otherwise) and this guy in a white Honda parked behind up watching us forever just to find out he called the police for our car being pulled up instead of just being a kind person and coming up to us and telling us. Police get there and tells us to move it (which is totally understandable) and asks us for our ticket so we hand him the paper we got from entrance. When we got our ticket we asked them if that’s all we needed and they said “yes.” But that wasn’t the case, police said that you had to go to the boathouse to get them. Mind you there are no signs!! We ended up just packing up and leaving, the guy in the white Honda stood outside of his car just staring us down and kept calling people. Moral of the story, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY🤣🤣 out of hours of being there we only caught one fish. On the website they say stocked daily but when we talked to the police (ranger) he said they only stock at the beginning of the year which makes since on why we wasn’t catching anything (nethier was the...

It’s a 22 acre pay lake. Understand that just because it’s a pay lake you aren’t always going to catch fish. Most paylakes are 2-5 acres so this lake is much larger and is more difficult to fish. There are blue catfish in this lake ranging in the 30-60lb range all over the lake and channel cats stocked weekly in the 1-7lb range all over. Watch them stock it almost every Friday morning around 10am. I’ve gone 8 hours without a bite and then watched a guy next to me pull out 103lbs of fish in 2 hours in the same spot with the same bait just a different depth of water fished. The boathouse has a great selection of cat fishing gear from Abu Garcia “The Beast” to Zebco 202’s St. Croix Rods, Whisker Seekers, and anything you can think of they can order for you too. The weekends during the summer are overnight weekends so you can do night fishing which is really nice in the summer to try to stay away from the heat. My personal best out of the lake is a 48 blue, I’ve seen a 74lb blue pulled out, a 51.4lb shovel, and countless channels caught. If they aren’t biting switch baits and...

Even the park ranger was awesome! Helped me get to the gas station so I didn't have to call anyone and beg for help. He put gas in my vehicle, so I could make it to a near by gas station. So sweet! Also, it was already almost dark, and he was understanding, that my car had overheated, so he allowed me to stay until it cooled down enough that I could drive it out, and get to a gas station. Very helpful, and compassionate, he should get a raise! We don't have a lot of that nowadays, people just want to give up on others too quickly, and dismiss them, before they even know the full extent of what someone else may actually be going through. Trust me, I have loved ones and close friends that have done that for years! Sometimes you have to put your foot down, and demand that they respect you and listen, or they no longer need to be a part of your life. Those people are typically toxic, and never cared about you anyways, when they won't...

We caught so many fish here. I’m not at all an experienced fisher but with a little patience we had a bunch of these little guys biting. Would be great to bring kids here to catch some smaller fellas and if your more experienced there’s plenty of bigger ones too, as they say fun for the whole family. I really enjoyed the employees knowledge and helpfulness. Next time I’m definitely bringing the family. PLEASE bring sunscreen and water if it’s hot out there’s not too much shade where we were and the sun is very strong near the water.

Lovely, lovely park. Took my 4 grandkids to fish, and the whole experience was wonderful. This park is clean, and structures are in great repair. The staff in the boathouse were super nice and so helpful. They have all kinds of supplies and bait available for reasonable prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return for a family picnic in the future as we saw a lot of picnic tables and ample parking available. The day was pretty hot, and we didn't catch any fish, but we still had fun.

Nice calm camp ground. No electrical outlets on the camp sites. You may have to bring your own power banks or power stations to use any electronic devices. Best place to have a semi primitive style camping. Restrooms are the portable ones available at the camp sites. Lake Isabella is good for boating and we had a nice time boating for an hour. We spend 2 nights without much issues. The staffs were very friendly and gave us several great information about the flora and fauna around the place.
