1/5/2021...My stars and my review are solely based on my experiences today, not in past trips. Today is a Tuesday. The holidays are gone. Middle of the week, Tuesday. Our family follows all guidelines and rules surrounding Covid safety at all times. I could not believe the number of people not wearing masks- walking in, standing in lines (long lines!!) while skiing... I could not believe that there were no employees enforcing masks or distancing (none that I saw) A very unscientific observation in the 2 hours we were there, I counted more than 50 people not observing the rules. There were several employees standing in the breezeway at the entrance, talking to each other while my family passed them on our way out before 12 noon...and at least 3 other people walking in who weren’t wearing masks. Alpine, you’ve got to do better than this. I want to ski. My family wants to ski. We’re all tired of Covid- but we are willing to wear masks so we can do this. We’re wearing our masks for other people. At least 50 people I saw there today were not doing the same. Not cool that you can’t get this under control on a...

This place is fantastic, for all levels of skiers!

I started to ski this season by attending the perfect progression program here which includes three beginner lessons, three meals, and seasonal rental and lift ticket. The instructors were very helpful and after three lessons I was able to ski down the green lanes parallelly.

After that I enrolled in its unlimited class which allowed me to take a lesson whenever I was there. After taking a few lessons, I am now comfortable to ski down most advance lanes.

Regarding the lanes, there are both wide groomed beginner/intermediate lanes good for practicing skills and steep advance lanes with moguls and the amazing lake view. The snow condition here is usually good, especially after a snow storm.

Last but not the least, the Alpine Bacon Burger at the resort here...

I was extremely lucky to have my first skiing experience in a group lesson with Mr. Rolland. I knew what I’m capable/ not capable of but he made me feel so secure, like a rock star on skis :-) which filled me with confidence. And I started skiing on my very first group lesson. Everything seemed so easy. If I began to be afraid of height or speed he could point that fear out and explain the origin of it, and what to do next in order to succeed. I followed his instructions And nothing really seemed scary anymore. He shared a lot of knowledge and taught how and when to apply it. I enjoyed every moment and I’m definitely going skiing again. And look forward to taking a private lesson with Rolland for my husband I to...

Very chill resort. lots of steeps, bowls, tree runs, hidden stashs off lakeview, scott, summit and alpine. Staff and hosts very cool. Lower mountain has good areas for noobs to hone the craft, be it ski or board. Lessons available if required. Large main chalet with eats, bar, great deck and lots of sitting space in and out. 1 small mid mountain chalet (across from yellow and scott), cool lil deck, not a lot of room inside but has food. Back side has a small Ice bar (they call it) to kick it and have a cold one, near mid or end of day. Cool view of Lake Tahoe off lakeview chair. Dig this resort to lay some tracks, give it a try if youre into winter fun.

I didn't ski at Squaw Valley, so I don't have any experience. But Alpine Meadows is definitely a very good place for skiing. Administrative staffs are cooperative and friendly. Emma, my ski instructor, was an enthusiastic lady and very kind to me. Her enormous patience and constant inspiration were the reason behind my awesome skiing experience from no prior knowledge to end up with a sense of achievement. It was a really nice time I spent over there. The natural beauty and wonderful terrains made this place very special to me. This great experience I want to remember for a lifetime.
