I kind of do not want to say how amazingly gorgeous this stellar hike can be any time of year. I want to keep this gemstone of a hike pristine. That being said, the snowpack this year makes the upper trail a bit dangerous in the winter. But experienced hikers will find this trail satisfying.

Enjoyed the trail through the forest. 4 mile loop. We left Mill Creek Campground around 7:00am, we had the place to ourselves. Trails we’re easy to follow. So quiet, peaceful, until you realize your not alone- the valley through the loop echoes. The coyotes will echo back.

A gorgeous but easy trail on flat ground that follows the edge of an wet meadow through alpine coniferous forest. A stunning diversity of wildflowers abound along the trail, which passes through shaded forest and open meadow.
