The Motown show that is showing there now is fabulous. The theater is finally running again, after having been damaged by the Almeda Fire and then hit by the pandemic. In order to open with more than 38 customers (because the theater would have to ensure a six foot distance between groups) they have to require vaccination certificates. This will change when the state vaccination rate increases or the new covid cases drop. The photo (permitted during the performance of one particular song) is of Baker Mayfield singing with the other Rogue Suspects. The band has an excellent choice of songs and dynamic vocalists.

I am pleased to say that the productions at the Camelot Theatre have gotten much better recently. I’m guessing it’s a combination of better directors that are casting better actors as the leads. It’s important to remember that this is community theater. Some of the actors are quite wonderful like the two leads and the primary psychiatrist in Harvey. For some of the less experienced actors, you appreciate that they are learning their craft. I’ve been impressed with the sets recently as well. All in all, I think Camelot Theatre has perhaps become one of the best community Theatre houses in the Rogue Valley.

So disgusted to see this Theatre discriminate against people by having shows for ONLY those vaccinated for Covid. Treating anyone like a second class citizen for any reason is abhorrent. This is nothing more than bullying people into doing something they feel isn't right for them. I find it interesting that their website talks of being inclusive, yet here they are excluding people. I encourage a boycott of their Motown show that is for the vaccinated only that opens June 10, 2021 as well as other shows till they start behaving in the inclusive manner that they claim to hold so dear.

Amazing performance! But unfortunately from the moment we walked in, the volunteers made us feel uneasy. 😬 We all had our COVID cards but my 17 yr old daughter (who rode w us) didn’t have her license w her and they had us wait until the Director could come over and allow her to go in. We barely made the start of the play! Also, the end of the intermission reminder needs to be obvious and given 5 min before and again 2 min before the 2nd act. Having elderly volunteers constantly remind you to hurry up while you’re simply waiting for your drink to be made or when you’re waiting to use the bathroom, is very irritating! Everyone needs to relax a bit! This is the time of the year where patience and kindness matter most! And we have missed live plays so please help us enjoy...

We payed $700 for my daughter to go through the program and perform. On the first performance night, my mother arrived at the theatre early with a ticket already payed for by both of us. I was running two minutes behind. When my mother entered the theatre for the performance, she handed the woman behind the desk my ticket and asked her to hold it for me. Two minutes later I walked in, and not only did she abruptly sell my ticket, told me it was sold out all week, and that I was simply out of luck. When I came back after the performance, I came to find that she held tickets for people she wanted to give them to, and screwed me out of an opportunity to see my daughter perform. My daughter will take her acting joy and talents somewhere...

I have greatly enjoyed the beauty and wonder of the Camelot Theater for several years now, the intimate setting of the theater often makes you feel like you are right in the play. Every production I have seen has always been to a standard of performing arts excellence. This last Saturday 3/30/13 though was extra special for me seeing "The Sound of Music" with my daughter and six year old granddaughter, what a joy to see it through her eyes as she was thrilled with every moment of it. Wonderful story, fantastic cast and beautiful music. This is a must see for all family members, one of Camelot's best! Thank you Livia Genise and all the marvelous people who make live theater such a...
