The wife and I were here this past weekend with a large group for a wine tasting and had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our evening. Buckley Vineyards was able to accommodate our larger group and still treat each and every one of us like we were their only customers. We travel around the country and stop in local wineries and vineyards every chance we can to taste some of the local wine. Buckley Vineyards has been the only one in over a year where we have liked almost everything we tried. Usually we will find ne or two that we like and buy a few bottles to take home. We didn't have that issue here at all. I had to restrain myself from buying all of my favorites. The owners and staff were wonderful in helping us through our wine tasting experience. Each wine had it's own story and the staff knew each one by heart and shared some of their favorite wine and pairings with us during our tasting. After we were done we sat and talked with the owners about the different wines and the story behind Buckley Vineyards. It is small businesses like this that keep our communities running and our local wines flowing. This is one place you have to stop in and try and trust me, you will not be disappointed. Thanks to the owners and staff for supporting our large group and making our evening special!

My favorite winery in North Georgia. You walk through the door and feel like a part of the family and you are home sweet home. The husband and wife team designed + built this clean, modern, open space with an incredibly well thought out decor. Actually, everything at Buckley is well thought out. The love and passion just seeps through the brick and mortar and throughout the vineyard the magic is endless. The scenery is breathtaking. It overlooks a beautiful pasture while enjoying the wines that are named after members of their family. The Kenneth, Sassy Georgia and The Frank Cab are my favorite right now. This place is great for a large party and maybe even your wedding or private event. There is also a cabin available to rent on Airbnb for a unique and true Vineyard stay. It’s right next to a creek with cascading waterfalls flowing over the river rocks creating a tranquil experience. This is a 5-star experience. Don’t hesitate to stop by. There is a food truck that serves food and the owners allow you to bring some snacks while you are visiting. Visit their Instagram page so you can keep up with the happenings at Buckley Vineyard!

Horrible experience.... was lured in following the signs Off the road only to exit my car with my dog and get attacked in the parking area by the vineyard owner’s dog. No warning anywhere unless you look Buckley’s up online that the dog at the vineyard attacks and has attacked other dogs in just the few months they have been open. Never got to get passed the parking area and when the owner came out after I had stopped the attack he was rude and said his dog doesn’t need a leash it’s a farm dog. If you have a dog wether service dog or not beware of this business as you will take your dog back home injured or maybe even worse. Owner never even said sorry just said did you not read the sign. Unfortunately this happens by my car in the parking area and the sign is located at the tasting room that we never made it to. No warning to vineyard hoppers at all. Just signs to lure you and your poor pet in.

I cannot say more lovely things about this winery AND the venue for my winter wonderland WEDDING this past December. From the fresh wood smell when you first walk in, to the gorgeous fireplaces both inside and on their covered patio area, to the comforting cozy feeling that immediately comes over you when you take a seat at the wine bar and are greeted with that heart melting smile that Terri has, you will know you have found the winery of your Georgia mountain dreams. And let's not forget the adorable old truck outside when you pull up (fully decorated with Christmas tree and lights during the holiday season!), or the fire-pit area outside, which I have not seen in the warmer months, but I have seen pictures how gorgeous the space looks during that time! Their live music schedule is OFF THE CHAIN, and various events are always on the calendar, like adorable little markets, etc. Let's get to the good stuff... The wine is impeccable! Their Christmas wine is literally like closing your eyes and taking a sip of the holidays. My personal faves are the Amber, a Vidal Blanc, the Fireside Zinfandel is just what it sounds like. Close your eyes and you can almost taste a hint of s'mores. Absolutely 3 must tries when you go! The newly added-on event space, which I utilized for my wedding, which is right off their wine bar (so convenient!) was so incredibly breathtaking, between the romantic rustic chandelier and sconce lighting, the brick wall, the gargantuan mantle (especially at Christmastime with the trees on them and all the white and golden decor!!). Seating options are endless; farmhouse long tables, round tables, or taller wine barrel tables which I loved personally. There are high-end couches and coffee tables to give that sitting by the fire in your cabin living room vibe, which we fully took advantage of for our reception. The stage is perfectly placed in the corner and is large enough for a full 5-piece band or more...sound system was stellar. As far as the staff, to me at this point they are friends. There wasn't a thing they wouldn't do to accommodate our guests or myself, and with a smile AND a hug. I even had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Buckley and got to spend some time chatting longer with him at the end of my wedding night. What a man...kindhearted, funny, ambitious, grateful, and fully involved in his business, giving his ALL...for his winery, for his staff, for his family. And so is his manager Rick and his wife Terri. Two people that not only helped make our special day even more memorable, but carved a place in my heart, and to me, are now lifelong friends. And THAT sums up what this winery is about...kind and genuine people building and running this amazing empire creating wine that NOT only will your taste buds remember, but they are actually able to provide YOU with experiences and memories with that glass of wine that will keep coming back for MORE than just the wine; you come back for the feeling. I personally CANNOT wait to have that feeling (and the wine!) again as soon as I can get back outta this Florida heat. Whoaaaa wait, I forgot, they have these various alcoholic slushies and this warm spiced wine! OMG to DIE FOR!!! Too many wonderful things to...
