Jack L. McLean Jr. Park Community Center — Attraction in Tallahassee

My daughter lost her drivers license and didn’t realize it. She Remembered the last time she had them was when she went to vote at Jack McLean. I called the park and the staff was very helpful. The took the time out to verify if her license were there and let me know they were there. I had to pick them up on my daughters behalf due to she was not in town. When I got there, the staff was amazing and ver professional. They had to verify that my daughter gave me permission to pick up her license which I was very pleased with and did not just hand me the license before checking. The playground and park itself is great but what brings down the value is the high school kids skipping school to hang out on the playground. We come here specifically during school hours to avoid the grade school kids and yet they are always there. My child can’t even enjoy everything there because the grown kids are literally sitting everywhere she wants to play. They rough house, SMOKE, and cuss up a storm all around my 2 year old child. And where is any type of security or patrol? It’s crazy that I live 5 minutes from this park—I could walk—but have to drive 10-15 minutes away to other parks because this one is either filled with trash or has school skipping kids who are...

Horrific....Some atrocious large spider was in my car from the park where the picnic area is and I was afraid he had bitten my dog.... I finally got help after about a half an hour from three men who took him out and killed him. I did call the park, 911, and animal control, to no avail. This area never looks manicured at all but this was the straw that broke the camel's back... Warning do not take your children back there. P.S. there are two areas to this park one area is to the right as you enter the park it is atrocious and never well kept or manicured It is hidden...
