We stayed in the RV section for two cold evenings so we appreciated the full hook ups that kept us warm and toasty. We made a $20/eve donation and enjoyed the warm welcome and hospitality from the Lodge members who were there for a meeting. My husband, an Elk member, was invited to attend the meeting which he said was well done. We were given a tour of the facility and enjoyed seeing the 1912 furniture from the New York Lodge #1 - a great story on how it was obtained and impressive to see it. It is an older lodge that would be enhanced with some updates but that did not deter us from enjoying the members and the wonderful hospitality. It is conveniently located not far off I-10 and just a short distance from the Tallahassee Auto Museum. The so called park is a dump with full time residents, since when are people allowed to stay full time. We were also told on the phone they like to get $25 a night but would take any donation, when we got there they demanded $30. We have been traveling this summer and staying at many lodges. They made me pay $100 deposit and because I asked the guard that was there to microwave 10 pieces of plantains for me, the guard microwaved the plantains for 45 sec a d eat the food from the party and next day reported to them that I used the kitchen. When I asked them for what, they told me that they don't know, for what, but they only know I used the kitchen and took the $100 for the 45 sec the guard himself microwave the plantains.
