Weâve attended St. Peterâs for more than 15 years now. Through the many seasons in our lives the people, leadership, liturgical worship, and, of course the beautiful space have been a place of healing, growth, and guidance. Itâs a wonderful second home for our children too, the programming for them is amazing. Children are welcome during the whole service but thereâs also childrenâs church at the first service which intentionally teaches kids how to actively participate in church. The traditions are rich and deeply thoughtful. The âhigh liturgicalâ style might be misunderstood as seeming catholic. But anglicans distinguish themselves from Catholicism in a number of ways. Some members cross themselves, some donât, you donât have to come from the tradition to understand whatâs happening. The priests do a good job of teaching us what and why. I didn't know anyone there my first visit. People engaged me in conversation the very first dinner I attended on a Wednesday night by myself.
That friendliness has continued four years later.
The Rectors are down-to-earth and enjoy getting to know you.
My first visit I called one of the Rectors "Father X" and he said to just call him by his first name.
How friendlier can a church be than that?
There are multiple types of services. From high church to casual.
