Amazing place to play. I'm 43 years old with three older teenagers. I've been playing airsoft on and off since 2002/2003. While stationed in California, friends were talking about this new thing called "airsoft" and I started to play. It was a lot of fun then and a lot of fun now! I've only ever had CQB/CQC indoor experiences with organized airsoft and always wanted to do outdoor. Man was I glad my 15 year old wanted to do this for his birthday! This was great fun for him, his 17 year old & 19 year old brother, his friends and my old body.
The rentals worked flawlessly and the staff could not have been any better. The players were chill and not a lot of macho nonsense either. You could tell that the ownership would not put up with that nonsense.
BIG, GIANT shout out to the main ref on duty, "Little Ben". He was communicative, patient, and diligent. Wealth of knowledge, professional, and managed the games with grace. We will come back knowing that staff members like Ben are running the games.
A special shoutout to Zach. Zach is an employee there but was participating in games as it was his day off. You would not have known it was his day off due to his assistance to EVERYONE during the games and between games. There was a moment that one of the guns was not operating (user error) and Zach did not hesitate to jump in, literally gave the kid his own personal gun, and took it upon himself to get the gun back in action. He even stepped in a time or two to help ref. Beyond that, he would answer everyone's questions about game play, tech, etc. while in between games. You could tell that both Zach and Ben loved their job.
NR is lucky to have these 5 star employees. I've seen tremendous businesses fail due to poor front line leadership. Nice to see that NR takes it very seriously and empowers their people to make the necessary calls on the field. Great small unit leadership.
Keep doing what you are doing. It's working.
Beyond all of that, the fields were amazing. They keep game play fun by switching fields, game types, etc. Some much fun.
If you are wondering if this is a spot you should invest money and time in, the...

NR Adventure Park in Taneytown and NR Paintball in Savage MD are two of the best fields on the east coast!
Highly recommended for seasoned players and beginners alike. They both have multiple woods ball fields and speedball (airball) for tournament players. Teams are always fair and balanced, games are always fun, refs are top notch, and rental equipment is clean/top tier. Taneytown was also recently renovated and the fields are amazing.
Anyone any age can play paintball. Dont let being scared hold you back, it only hurts for a few seconds and with the adrenaline you probably wont even feel it. Ive played with young kids and ive played with grandpas. Literally ANYONE can play and everyone always has a blast! The veteran players at the field are always down to help new comers out. Dont be afraid to ask for advice or any questions you make have. I usually always let a new player use my gun for a game or two and help them anyway I can. It’s a team sport and the goal is for everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves. Its also a niche sport so growing the sport falls on the players to encourage and help new players get into the sport.
Go experience the thrill of paintball! Where else can you shoot at your friends and get away with it?
If you want to see videos/pics of professionals playing paintball to get an idea of what its like my IG is the same as my username here KenBlockShoots. I take photos for Virtue/Bunkerkings at national paintball events, which are two of the biggest...
Read moreLet me start and say that i previously rated this field under old ownership lowest and told everyone i could that PAP was the worst field in Maryland. Under new ownership they have added all new fields and have gave us fields that are new and modern and are well thought out for not just one type of player but for all. The ref for airsoft was down to earth and didint D ride the players who always go…( big problem with refs from when it was pap). the players there were not hostile because of the gear i was wearing and they called there hits. even if i just managed to clip there hat with one bb. The players there also weren’t trying to be refs which is a big improvement from when i last played. the ref also knew what airsoft was and knew what Jules were and how they related to fps. they actually knew how to chrono. overall would rated my experience a 10/10 and have asked my buddy if he wants to go iut next saturday. was about two bad experiences away from selling all my gear...
