This park is making lots of GREAT improvements all the time. However they still have a lot of work to be done.

SHOWER HOUSE/ RESTROOM - Flush Toilets with individual showers. However Not all of their shower houses are handicap accessible. The loop we stayed in this past weekend the shower house may have had a handicap stalls, but the wheelchair would not fit into the bathroom stall and the handicap shower had no seat in the actual shower, just in the changing room (not sure how that was suppose to work) so in reality they are NOT HANDICAP Compliant. They also have no handicap buttons to get in and out of the restroom main doors. So be sure to check this out before making your reservation if you need to use these facilities.

NOTE - Stonelick Lake State Park has a very nice shower house that is handicap compliant.

Lastly - make sure to be off your campsite by 1:00 p.m. (checkout). Otherwise they will give you a (nice) personal phone call. They expect everyone to be off their campsites by 1:00 p.m. and go sit in a long line of campers (burning) fuel at the dump station. In my opinion you could have waited on your own campsite that was not rented again for the day (we made sure to check) for the dump station to open up. But NOPE they want you to create traffic and get off your campsite so the VIP's who get free camping and are their to do a job for that free camping could go home. This is not something I heard, but was told personally by the person making those checkout phone calls......VIP's want to go home. So let's put our VIP's above the paying customers.

So bottom line is pay an extra $37.00 for one extra day of campingfor your site so that you can have the extra hour or two to pack up and be off of a site and not sit in long lines for the dump station....... because apparently the State Parks need the extra money and the VIP's want to go home!!

Overall - it is a beautiful park with lots of things to do - my niece and great nieces and nephews went on several of the hiking trails, a long with the really nice paved bike trail.....also during the weekend they had several activities for the families (movies, scavenger hunts, karaoke, etc...) so I would highly recommend this park......just make sure to make arrangements for the two items...

East Fork Lake offers a picturesque and tranquil retreat from the bustle of daily life. As a nature enthusiast and avid traveler, I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming lake, and I must say it left a lasting impression on me.

Nestled amidst rolling hills and verdant forests, East Fork Lake is a stunning body of water that beckons visitors with its serene ambiance. The natural beauty of the surroundings is awe-inspiring, making it an ideal destination for outdoor lovers, hikers, campers, and water sports enthusiasts alike.

Camping facilities at East Fork Lake are well-maintained and offer a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Whether you prefer pitching a tent or utilizing an RV, the campgrounds provide a serene atmosphere for a night under the stars. Wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and the gentle rustling of leaves, and you'll quickly realize why this place is a haven for nature enthusiasts.

While the lake and its surroundings are undeniably stunning, it's worth noting that some areas might benefit from additional maintenance and upkeep. A few picnic spots could use some sprucing up, and some trails could be marked more clearly. However, these minor drawbacks didn't significantly detract from the overall experience.

east Fork Lake is a hidden gem that offers an idyllic escape from the daily grind. Whether you're seeking solitude in nature, engaging in thrilling outdoor adventures, or simply looking for a peaceful spot to unwind, this lake has something for everyone. With its natural beauty, extensive recreational opportunities, and friendly atmosphere, East Fork Lake is a destination...

*update/ East Fork State Park Campground does NOT take the Passport America discount anymore, nor do any of the other Ohio State Parks. That's too bad as we used the discount a lot. Also they moved all the garbage bins to one small area by the entrance of the park, which is somewhat inconvenient, but keeps the smells out of the loops. They now allow golf carts, which are all over the place during the labor day weekend. */end update.

Very pretty and large Ohio state park. There are many trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding, some of which cross over and follow a nice little creek with frogs, crayfish, fish, turtles and snakes. I found one tick on me after a hike(this was in the Spring). Basketball court floods when it rains and is somewhat away from the sites. Mini golf is very far from the campsites at the main entrance, by loop A. The great thing about this park is there are so many different types of campsites; some open, some in the trees or a nice mix of the two. One could easily get lost in woods at this park; it's huge. Campoffice staff were very friendly, and so are the camphosts. Bathrooms are kept very clean. Verizon 4g LTE is 1 to 3 bars depending where you are at. Loops A,B, back of F, H, most of J and all L sites have good Verizon signal. Really can't complain except for all the empty sites, which is a shame given how beautiful and diverse...

This place, even thru the times the quality of the water was questionable, has been, for more than 20 years, a peaceful place for my family and I. Even if your not there to get in the water, the hiking trails and scenery has always been worth the trip. Great place to walk and clear your mind and take in the beauty and the sounds of Mother Nature, and enjoy being in the moment, without the stress of living!! It's a place I'll always visit and trade my stress (even if for just that moment) to enjoy a piece of this rock AKA::: Earth that we're living on. Cuz let's face it, not everything on this planet is beautiful or worth the time or energy to take it in and really gives you the kind of beauty and peace that reminds you to breathe, or shows you perspective of the way things are or could change. And that allows peace of mind!!! Sanity... Because insanity is always everywhere we look. Lmfao!!!

What a great state park. Pros The beach is nice and pretty well kept. The water is warm and people are cordial. They have a fair amount of amenities (bathrooms/showers, walking trails, shelters, etc.) the shoreline is long and offers lots of space to spread out. Lots of grass to play on as well. The hiking trails are nice and well kept. There’s an abundance of parking anywhere you wanna go in the park. Cons There is garbage at the hiking trail campsite I visited. The bathrooms were also a disaster there. Sad that people don’t keep them up, but if the park is going to offer them there should be some level of expectation to maintain them. There is a major tick infestation. Not the parks fault but the state is having a large issue. Hiked for 15 minutes and had 2 on my ankle I had to pluck out. Give me a like if this was helpful.
