This was a very disappointing haunt. The Alice in Wonderland theme was interesting but was never fully used. It starts with a hay ride through a trailer park and camp ground which ended up not making much sense when you leave and have to walk back to your vehicle. Turns out it's not a long walk but long enough that you'd have appreciated a ride back yet short enough that you question why even bother with the hay ride. The caterpillar lady at the beginning was promising but once inside the whole thing gets irritating quick. Upon entering a couple of the actors asked us if we were the last group, breaking the mood right off. There's lots of dead space where you're just walking and looking at the scenery. Occasionally someone would hit a drum or scream in your ear but that was more annoying than scary. The trail seemed to go on forever with no scares, my group kept getting lost on the trail, at one point knocking down a guard rail that was obscured by smoke and darkness. One of our group fell and got hurt on an intentionally soft patch of ground next to a pallet and tripping over tree roots you couldn't see in the dark was common throughout. There were several instances where we encountered actors out of character, smoking cigarettes and talking to each other and they didn't seem to care that much. The group behind us eventually caught up with us and we ended up locked in an escape room, then wandered around a black out maze, bumping into each other with no scares whatsoever the entire time. At this point I was highly annoyed and ready to be ejected just to get out. We finally got out after way too long. To rub salt in the wound, it ended with an awesome, very well done 3D clown room. The girls playing Alice and the mirror effect were so good you wondered why they couldn't have done that the entire way through. I'm tempted to give it a better review just for that one scene but it doesn't make up for how miserable I was...
Read moreWhen I was kid, this place was awesome, it was a long trail with a puzzle, a grand theme with dozens of actual adult actors, and lasted a good hour and a half; all this for like 7$ a person. I just went earlier this evening with my sister and my friend. I was expecting what I had remembered but instead it was this extremely short, lousy and boring trail that only had kid actors, probably 1 person over 13. There was no effort put into this place, no costumes, nothing. Now this wouldn't be a big problem if the place didn't cost 15$ !!! I drove 20 minutes to and back for a trail that lasted about 20 minutes, costed 15$, and felt like a halloween show at the local elementary school. Listen folks I love to support my community but this place is absolute garbage. Trust me y'all spend the 10 more dollars and go to literally...
Read moreDefinitely did not worth the $20 bucks. Don't get me wrong it was a good walk through the trail but it wasn't scary at all and the staff costumes or should I say painted face is worthless. Didn't had hardly anything to do with Alice in wonderland. I honestly think this place is a little over rated with the Reviews on Facebook and google. Might be there own staff doing their own reviews lol. First & will be the last time. I'll stick to the longer wait with Lake Hickory Haunt for a...
