I've attended the last five or six services at Crosspoint and have found myself overall quite disappointed. My partner and I have made multiple attempts to become connected (both through filling out guest cards and even emailing the church to ask about available groups). We are constantly redirected and never receive follow up to our request(s) to get plugged in, even though we've received emails saying someone would touch base with us.
I know that everyone has a lot going on, but when a church is heavily emphasizing the value of bringing newcomers to church, I find it incredibly disheartening and isolating to then have that church not actually follow through on outreach requests or attempts for said newcomers to become involved. I decided this Sunday to attend a different church, and I was positively overwhelmed by the stark contrast in receptivity to my request for information regarding women's groups or opportunities to serve/get plugged in.
I think overall Crosspoint is a decent contemporary church that has good messages, but it is VERY isolating and slow to welcome/onboard newcomers. For this reason, I would not recommend this church to family, friends, or colleagues, and instead my family will proceed with our search for a more welcoming...
