The good: Spring time bass, crappie and white bass fishing is great. 4 and 5 lb bass are not that uncommon in my boat with the occasional 6 pounder. Starting in March we begin limiting out on nice crappie 9-11 inches in length. This time of year you can also start finding the white bass down around the start of the lake. Summer brings some great catfishing with 20-30 pounders to the lucky ones.
The bad: Starting in late spring the lake receives a ton of boating and fishing pressure. Get out early and late to avoid the pleasure boaters.
