The negative reviews on here have same theme. Here is a quick checklist to see if this place is for you.
Have you ever swam in a pond, river, or Lake? Do you whine if people smoke outdoors? Have you made a waterpark in your backyard? Do you like the smell of chlorine?
If Your Answers are - yes, no, no, no.
Good. Give this place a try. Its a little oaisis for children, they absolutely love the different levels of slides and activities throughout the waterpark. Lifeguards are at the slide and rope swing, but when did watching your own children around water stop being normal? Any pool setting, keep an eye and be involved with what they are doing parents.
Deepest part was about 7-9 feet. So if you allow your kids in rope swing area, then be sure they are vested or strong swimmers. My son enjoyed 3 to 4 hours going off rope swing the day we visited, and it was highlight of his trip.
Bees exist in nature, this waterpark is part of it. They will bee around (lol). Seating/tables and landscaping are beautiful. Bathrooms are rustic camper style that are still 10x better than a sweltering porta-potty.
Water is natural spring/creek and will not be clear, but will be chilly. On 90 degree days its fantastic. Bugs and tree leafs end up in every outdoor pool so, not sure what one reviewer was whining about.
Overall my son and I had a great time and got to experience a place that hasn't been padded, softened, and made for a coddled public.
If that sounds fun, give it a try. If not head to a indoor park from a giant corporation and spend...

You can bring in coolers and even a grill! Pack all the food and drinks you need. There is not a lunch spot here or (near here) to buy food from. There is tons of seating available, typically a four chair, table and umbrella set up. There are some tables kind of tucked away in pretty spots but these are all first come first serve so arrive early. This establishment is CASH ONLY. The water is not "pool clean". There is a lot of sand everywhere and the water looks more like lake water. CAREFUL!! Stairs, paths and walkways are NOT level, or the same size; watch your step. The place is a bit run down and I didn't notice any life guards. But nothing looked hazardous. There are plenty of entry and exit points into and out of the water. The shallow end is 9inches and the deep end is 9ft In the women's bathroom there was only one "changing stall" - such as it was - and two toilets that were working questionably.
For little ones: They can hang out in the shallow end, or go down the assortment of little slides. The 16 month old with us had a fun time.
For big kids/adults: There is a rope swing, a large slide and a volley ball net. The 17 and 21 year old with me had fun.
12 and under could probably spend all day here. (At $8-$11 a person that's not bad!). After a few hours the adult [kids] were bored and ready to go.
I did the big slide a few times and it was fun. I could see us potentially going back. It did get quite crowded about 2pm when we...
Read moreSuncrest has always been a little rough around the edges but ultimately still a good time. I went here as a kid and recently took my kids and they absolutely loved it. We were there for the better part of 5 hours and they still begged not to leave. There are slides and water depths for all ages. My boys couldn’t get enough of the big slide or the rope swing. Sure there are some things that could be updated but considering the cost of everything/everywhere else has doubled, if not tripled in the past year, I’d say their admission price was pretty unbeatable. It was $35 for myself and three boys for the whole day. Just make sure you bring cash because they do not take cards. My only other advice would be to prepare for cold (like really cold) water and basically no cell signal since it’s on the side of a mountain. Other than that be ready to...
