POV: You just found your new favorite *free* summer spot 👀 Rock Hill Lake Park has become *our* fave family spot. ✅Lots of room to roam ✅clean restrooms (yes please) ✅kayaking, fishing, nature trails, and a beach-like feel without the long drive drive.🌿🌊 and the best part? This rating is specifically for the walking trail. It was shorter than one mile, and the actual trail was unclear. The path was a mixed bag of hilly routes, gravel, sand, grass, tree limbs, and red dirt that wreaked havoc on my shoes. I wouldn't go back for the walking trail. Now, the lake access looked nice. I wish this would've been available when my kids were younger. It would've easily been our summer vacation spot. A free park with a small beach feel and markers for safer swimming... count us in! There's no grilling allowed at the park, but coolers are allowed. Pack the food, take the family, have a great time, and clean up afterward. Fishing is also allowed here.

I've been to this place on several occasions, "Trying" to fish and enjoy family time. But it's very hard when you are on either side of the beach area and have people literally swimming under the yellow markers across to the other sides of the lake and over your fishing lines as well as people that kayak should also be aware of people fishing not to cross over lines. You also, have city employees lounging back with people watching all this go on amd not saying a word rather than doing the job to prevent someone's life in danger, they would rather lounge around the beach area and hang out with friends. Excellent place when the rules are enforced... Today (05/26/24) tried to come here to go fishing. Had people swimming around and over my lines (outside of the swimming area). The guy who works here is just watching and letting it happen. Teenagers Cussing and kids swimming outside the yellow rope. Somebody is going to get hurt out here... And if it's a free-for-all, would that give me rights to fish in the swimming area? I've always had a great time but today was ridiculous... Something needs to be done and change so EVERYBODY can enjoy themselves, even us just trying to fish out of...
