Had an awesome time. Some sites have no shade, no fireplace no restroom or water..this campsite is geared towards tent camping. I seen a couple smaller trailers/ rvs in some spots that had the nice big entry way but no hook ups. It would be very hard to get campers in and out of most spots I'd think.

The spot we found had a fire pit, charcoal BBQ pit, and water spigot and bathroom nearby.

The place is beautiful. Check the weather and plan accordingly. There is a 5 mile total hike (2.5 there abd 2.5 back)to the peak if you'd like. It has some intense inclines, we had the kids so only did about .1 mile and headed down 😁

Out stay was in the mid 70s during the day and low 30s at night but no wind. We brought 5 sleeping bags and two comforters and we slept well and warm during the night. Day and evening were just beautiful. I was so surprised there weren't really many bugs at all. I suppose because there is no water. The raccoons visited nightly to scavenge food the kids dropped or chips we left out the first night but they only come while you're asleep and leave if you make noise lol.

I plan to come again mid hot summer! But I'm going to bring my blow up pool and hose to fill it for the kids! šŸ‘ŒšŸ˜šŸ¤£( surely the raccoons will try to take a dip, but they'll...

Tehachapi Mountain Park is located in a somewhat remote location, South of Tehachapi in the mountains. Still within 20mins of town it's a great retreat for fresh air and sun. Many hiking trails & camp sites with a few 85ft granite outcrops, which double as fun climbing locations or great vista's. There are about 10-12 cabins near by where groups can make reservations. The facilities come with a kitchen and large mess hall (seperate building), laundry area, enclosed restrooms and a shower facility. Also nearby is a horse corral close to the entrance of the park with trailer parking and trails for horse riding. My son's and I love it here. We've camped, hiked and picnicked, also given classes on basics of rock climbing safety and rappelling. Always climb safely and pick...

Although this is a very nice camping area it is completely unsupervised letting a lot of Riff Raff. Two Saturdays in a row huge Raves showed up and on one of the parties people died because of drinking and driving. By camper very close to us seems to be living there. I'm not so bothered by that but I was completely bothered by the consistent sound of the generator which ran from morning till morning. 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. every single day even when they were not around. They ran the generator for the dog. It was really difficult to enjoy the outdoors with that sound constant in the background. Smells like the restrooms need to be pumped and often there was no toilet paper. There was no one to do...

Quinn (my dog) and I came to go hiking but decided to check out some future camp spots first. In the lower camping area there was some litter that I picked up and discarded in the bear proof bin. Note: My dog is well trained and always leashed, only for some photos is she solo. As we were leaving I spotted a young Black Bear near the road. I quietly videoed from my car with my cheap phone, next time I'll bring my real camera! Please enjoy this beautiful place and respect nature, properly dispose your trash or take it with you.

This park is so cute. Many different sites, you can fit large rigs up to 40 lf. You have to scout out a spot you will fit in so get there plenty of day light. No electricity, water or anything. Dry camping only. Some of the camp sites are hike in only for tents. It is 18.00 bucks a night, honor system, bring checks if you don't have cash for the envelope. Some really cute hiking trails 1.5 mile loop. We rode our bikes on the roads and i did a lot of pushing my bike a lot.... lol... Its steep...
