My husband and I were visiting the area and happened to see the Tehama County Museum. It was closed but I called the number posted on a sign outside. We weren't going to stay much longer in Tehama but to my surprise, I received a phone call back. The docent, Paul, was so accommodating and we set up a time to meet at the museum.
