ā 4/5 ā Good Wine, Relaxed Atmosphere, but No Food
Masia de la Vinya is a solid winery with a casual, welcoming vibe. While it offers good wine at fair prices, it doesnāt quite rise above the many other options in Temecula.
š· The Wine: 4/5
The wine is solid and enjoyable, with a variety of reds, whites, and blends. However, thereās nothing particularly remarkable about it that would set it apart from other wineries in the area. Itās good, just not extraordinary.
š½ļø The Food: N/A
There is no food offered at this winery, which is a bit of a downside. Itās best to visit after eating or bring snacks if you plan on staying a while.
šļø The Service: 4/5
The staff is friendly and accommodating, but depending on how busy it is, the service can feel a little underwhelming. Itās not as refined as some other wineries, but itās still friendly and helpful overall.
š” The Atmosphere: 4/5
The winery offers a relaxed, charming atmosphere. Itās not overly fancy, but itās a nice, quiet place to enjoy wine, especially if youāre looking for a more low-key experience.
š° The Verdict: A Solid Winery with Some Room for Improvement
ā Good wine at reasonable prices ā Friendly and welcoming atmosphere ā No food, so plan accordingly ā Service can be hit or miss, depending on the day
Would I come back? Yes, but itās not my first choice in the area. Itās a good, no-frills option for a casual tasting experience, but there are others that offer a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love sangrias and sweeter wines and thatās how I selected this place. Also a plus that it was on Groupon.
There are lots of signs from the Main Street. When you turn in to go up a dirt path, youāll see an arrow pointing to the left for buses and limos. For all other vehicles, thereās a lower and upper lot straight ahead.
The building is small with lots of surrounding outdoor tables. We received complimentary mimosas using their brut sparkling wine.
The tastings gave us 6 choices from the list. Bummed that sangria is not part of the tastings. You could either order it by the glass or in a can.
They offer Mexican Lager and IPA in a can for those who donāt like wine.
I tried all 4 sweet wines in this order:
-White Milenio - honeysuckle -Petite Syrah rose - super light like watered down, strawberry and cream -Red Milenio - like a dessert wine -Magrana - pomegranate, tarty
The red Milenio was my favorite. Tastes delicious with dark chocolate but I finished my tasting off with petite Syrah rose. I love the light, airy, crisp note.
If we had stayed, I would have gotten a glass of sangria. However, they do sell in can version too.
The outdoor patio allow pets and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere were many things that my girlfriend and myself enjoyed about the vineyard, such as the house, the drive to get there, the interesting promise of live music and dancing in the future as well as many of the wines. however, the customer service and presentation were both absolutely appalling. My girlfriend and I are both in out early 20's, and sort of new to visiting vineyards and trying new wine, but we aren't complete idiots, nor do we act or dress like children. During our 4 hour stop at Masia de Yabar, I had my intelligence insulted by the staff twice, I had to borderline insult the bartender just to get our glasses washed, and spend a good amount of time being ignored. It was humiliating to be considered as a guest there, and it was emberassing to be treated like an imbecile on a nice afternoon out with my significant other. Also, with the presentation, there was nothing to cleanse your palate between glasses of wine. No crackers, no water in sight. The bar was rather dirty and cluttered, and the wine bottles were organized in a cardboard grid/laticework? Needless to say, we will not...
