I personally wouldn't go to this event again. $35 parking $99 GA ticket, basically $140 a person and your car. Nothing is free but warm water from the plastic water stations The bands and entertainment were mediocre Vendors are majority all companies just trying to get you to sign up to their email list or sell you something you don't need.
There was probably 3 cool vendors selling jewelry or clothes but they were all mass produced products. Nothing handmade or unique.
The food is okay Mexican street food, carnival food, typical overpriced stuff.
The whole vibe is kind of pathetic and sad.
This festival is more for families who want to camp, let their kids roam around and be free while they get drunk.
Also you can't see the lake from the festival, I did not see one balloon. They need to listen to these reviews and change the name of this festival. "Temecula valley festival" that's all because there isn't balloons being flown in the sky during the festival and there isn't plethora of great wines either. Also the country music here is more country rock so it's all very popular culture and nobody blew me away at all
Don't spend your money at all! Del mar food and wine festival $165 free parking all you can eat and drink is wayhyyy worth it, you don't get music but you get much better vibes than this...
Read moreI wish I would have seen all the reviews before signing up with an event thru my timeshare Hyatt Vacation Club the Welk. First of all the young lady that was maybe an event coordinator knew absolutely nothing. We wait 40 minutes for someone to show up and get on the bus. They never came. Guess it was a good thing because I agree the festival was a joke. We were given VIP tickets but again the coordinator didn't even advise us where the VIP tent was located after 30 minutes of walking around we finally found it. They provided popcorn and water or two different soda choices. Oh let's me not forget the sliver of pizza. The food trucks were horrible and I pick up severe stomach issues after eating only a few bites of a sandwich I paid $22 for which ended up in the trash. I was ready to call an Uber when one of the other owners I met offered us a ride since she called her son for pick us. Thank God we weren't subject to staying until the shuttle bus was scheduled to go back at 10pm. Don't waste you time or $$ on this event if it's your ideal to camp and get drunk good luck paying between$18-25 for a beer. The hydrating stations they have located throughout I wouldn't give that water to my dog. I don't know if they actually launched any balloons but I seriously doubt since...
Read moreThis used to be a great festival every year. Sadly, due to new ownership, it is no longer the same type of festival. The last minute announcement of all the bands, which were all country, western and no rock and roll, was very disappointing. In the past, I have recommended a lot of bands for this festival and always had a contact person that I could talk to on the phone and my emails were always answered. However, this new management did not reply to emails and had no phone number to reach anyone. And the fact that this is a "Balloon" and Wine Festival the lack of the balloons was very disappointing. And they weren't right on the festival grounds. Only one road in and one road out is dangerous in case of an evacuation. The long lines in traffic waiting to get in is ridiculous. The lack of good vendors and wine was a huge disappointment. The cost for the festival and food and Wine was ridiculous. I will no longer be supporting this festival and recommending any bands to play there. This festival has been here since 1983 and was always a lot of fun. This new ownership destroyed it, its first festival. Anyone giving great reviews on this are either from the owners or friends. I think the majority of the reviews says a lot....
