Extremely unprofessional, unresponsive event coordinator.
Over the course of 3 weeks we filled out their event inquiry form online, sent 3 emails, left 2 voicemails, and never once heard back from their event coordinator Gracie. When calling, the front desk would say she would get back to us and she never did.
We simply wanted to set up a time to tour the venue for an event.
We showed up to the winery first thing on Saturday. The hostess went to talk to Gracie (who was present at the winery!), but she refused to step outside and talk to us. We only wanted to figure out a time we could come back and tour. We asked the hostess if she could go back a second time to have Gracie come out and figure out a time with us. The hostess seemed afraid of Gracie and got a different host staff to go back and ask. The second hostess said Gracie simply glared at her.
Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. How is it possible the event coordinator is this disliked by their own staff. And how can anyone plan anything at Opolo with a coordinator who is horribly unresponsive. Absolutely unprofessional that your coordinator cannot find 2 minutes to talk to us, over email, call, or in person when we spent our morning driving...
Read moreMy wife and I have been buying their wines at Costco for several years and, on our current trip to Paso Robles, decided to stop by for a tasting. I must say that all of the wines we tasted were much better than what we are used to purchasing at Costco (not that their products at Costco are bad, we like them too!) so, if you like the Opolo wines you buy at the store, you must visit.
We were helped by Lisa and, while the wines and spirits were awesome, she made our experience unforgettable! She was very knowledgeable on the entire Paso Robles wine making region and all the different aspects of the wine making process that really made our visit extremely enjoyable. Not used to this kind of service from a large scale operation such as this. It was great hearing about her family and we got to share pictures of our grandson and her son who is serving our country in the Army. Nice to know the owners of Opolo have such a great staff.
Do yourself a favor and visit this winery and ask for Lisa to help you…I promise, you will not be...
Read moreCame here from a recommendation from a friend ( “ they have the best pizza and you must go there for lunch and for wine tasting!” she insisted) and we’re glad we did. We didn’t make a reservation and just walked in, and took our chances in case they weren’t fully booked on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. It was a beautiful day, not too warm. We were seated in a table with the view of the beautiful backdrop of vineyards. Menu looked good and the wine tasting as Sherri, our server, explained everything. She gave us great recommendations and explained to us each wine that she would serve us. We ordered their signature pizza and a board of charcuterie to go with our wine tasting per Sherri’s recommendations. We were happy we did! They truly had great pizza and definitely good wines! Overall, we enjoyed the whole wine tasting and the pizza was the best!Who would have known? We ended up ordering a case of each of their signature and best selling Zinfandel and their best...
