Bedford Lake — Attraction in Tennessee

I used to spend summers hear as I teenager my grandfather Kerry Deatherage ran this lake I caught tons of nice bass out of it and seen big bass caught out of it I was fishing with a guy who bass a tournament fisher on his off season would always come here he had a 19.9 pound large mouth bass mounted from Bedford lake I remember fish and wildlife would shock lake to check fish once a summer they shocked up a 24 pound large mouth bass it was huge best fishing experience ever for 6 summers I was there dusk till dawn Carolina rig pumpkin seed worm and a bayou buggy crank bait paint flat spot on his head red finger nail polish and have fun . Great fishing place for kids. Fishing docks, portapottys. Fishing is not as good as in past years, however I have caught good size catfish there in the past. Use to be stocked with pan size brims. Could use stocking to bring it back to past fishing experiences. Says crappiest, bass, catfish...maybe they are there but last two fishing trips...zero after 5 hrs fishing. One turtle caught and one small perch. Still a beautiful place...

Went to Bedford today. Terrible off the bank or dock because of the moss. No excuse for a TWRA lake to have this problem. They need to stock a few sterile grass carp to help ease this problem.
