What an amazing place to take your kids or just relax. We took our kids here during the week so I can't vouch for weekends or holidays. The entire time we were here, there was maybe a total of 4 to 5 families at any given time enjoying the lake. There is tons of space under the trees so you don't need to bring an umbrella. The zoned-off swimming area is perfect for kids as it doesn't go past a little over 3 feet deep. The swimming area is also fenced in so no need to worry about anyone floating outside of that area. It's very peaceful and quiet. They offer a park with benches right next to the swimming area and also a building with a TV and restrooms. You can plan just about any activity or even here with all the space and accommodations. It's highly pet-friendly, we brought our little dog along with us. I highly recommend a visit...

We love going here, as a family, to take a quick swim or just check out the view and watch airplanes. Some times a cookout. I would go early if you plan on using their grills because there are a few but get taken quickly. Even beautiful while raining, a calm place to hang out and enjoy the rain.

Swimming area has a nice mostly sand, not a lot of rocks. And is a gradual slope.

I will say there is hardly ever toilet paper, soap, paper towels in the restroom. So bring your own. Also be on the look out for scat, I don't believe it is from pets, most like from wild animals in the area. If a rain storm happened within a week or two the beach normally has sticks and debris.

There is one hill I worry about right beside the restrooms that doesn't have a fence. So watch...

It was very neat. Except when we arrived we waited while the cop sat in his car and would only let one car pass through at a time. We sat for 30 mins and we didn't know what was going on or why. Two kids in a straight drive no AC truck on a hill it was ridiculous. This is one reason I won't be back but other than that we had fun. Wished there was more for them to do and shade no on a...

Very clean and plenty of space for kids to play in the sand. adults and teens can swim and romp out of the way and still stand in lots of spots. Not permitted: pets, alcohol, illegal substances or firearms. Permitted: grills, sunshades, chairs, floats, coolers, non-amplified music
