Boyd-Harvey House — Attraction in Tennessee

I stayed at the Boyd Harvey House when I was coming out for a house hunting trip as part of a corporate relocation. I stayed about a week and then I enjoyed it so much I made a reservation for the following week. Proprietor and operator Anne White ensured the stay would be impeccable from well before the stay. She sent me an email that in detail described the place and when she found out that I would be there for so many days asked if I wanted a custom meal service which I took advantage of and was perfect so I did not have to cook. She took the time to get to know me and one evening over the fire she even helped me think through neighborhoods to live in. The grounds are splendid and do a good job blending in with the neighborhood. It’s also obvious she puts a lot of thought and care into her property. I loved the area so much that I even decided to move very close by to the Boyd Harvey House - it felt as though I was staying at a very special and relaxing Bed and Breakfast. We had a FABULOUS experience at BHH. We had our rehearsal dinner there and the bridal party stayed the night and got ready there the next day as well. Because there are so many rooms almost my entire bridal party fit comfortably and we had plenty of room for the hair and make up folks the morning of the wedding. Anne is organized, detail oriented, and responds almost immediately to communication. The planning process was so smooth thanks to Anne. This is a perfect venue for a wedding weekend - it’s close to the west Knoxville venues and much nicer than getting ready at a hotel. After the wedding on Saturday night, my husband and I came back to BHH and there were chocolates and champagne waiting for us. Anne goes above and beyond! I can't say enough about this property, the owner, the grounds, and the the 2 wonderful ladies who made breakfast! (note: breakfast was a nominal extra cost) It's a great place for a sister-trip, friend-trip, or a romantic getaway. I also believe that every writer should stay here! But, even if you're not a writer, you will love it! Plenty of places to sit, play, think, etc. The kitchen is stocked with all the equipment (even a KitchenAid mixer), dishes, etc you could ask for. All you need to do is bring the food! This was my first stay, but it won't be my last. If there was a 6 star option, I would give it 6!
