Chilhowee Mountain Overlook — Attraction in Tennessee

This place is gorgeous. There's been several times I've sat above the clouds here. It's amazing to watch the cloud approach from beneath you and then work its way up the mountain to engulf you. You literally sit in a cloud and can see and feel the mist flow all around you! Then the clouds scatter and show you one of the most beautiful views you've ever seen. A beautiful scenic overlook that gives spectacular mountain and lake views. Well worth the drive up the mountain. Continue further on up for awesome trail and camping options. The only negative would be the spray painted graffiti on the stones that border the overlook. Not the park services fault, but a shame that people have to ruin such beauty with their selfishness.
