7 miles of extremely rough terrain. Several times we wondered if we would make it, but even if we couldn't there was nowhere to turn around at. I expected there to be more fishing spots and for that matter even some fish in the river would have been nice. The bathroom was like a horror movie and there were bullet shots through the main sign. Once you finally get there it is a little better Even though there is a bunch of other people the water is so loud you feel like your secluded. It's supposed to be a great place for snorkeling but let's be real people It's just an okay place with very clear water! Which is still really nice. All in all alterated three star our family did enjoy ourselves and it was pretty once...

If you walk down the trail there are places where you can get in the water comfortably. Great snorkeling here, many different species to identify and catalog. If you're into fishing, there are rainbows, bass and brown trout here for the taking. The trail can be wet, wear boots or get your feet wet! Water is crystal clear, originating in the Cohutta Wilderness, Jack's river and the Conasauga river converge here and begin to relax their exit from the mountains. If there is no parking, you can park on the side of the road. No camping here, day use...

A couple of things to know upfront are that the road is really rough, and if you have a low clearance vehicle, you're gonna have a bad time getting there. The bathroom on site is every nightmare you've ever had about public restrooms come to life. Now if you can get past that this is some of the most fun I've had snorkeling in a long time. There were so many different types of fish to see that we are still trying to identify them in our species book a few days later. Really worth taking the kids to learn and enjoy nature at...

Neat little spot to visit and the water is so amazingly fresh and clean. I'm not sure if we even found the right spot we just walked from the parking a very short distance to the left and got in. Only saw a few pretty common fish so not as much as we expected, but there may be some better spots further in the opposite direction. The trail that way is fun to walk on and we saw some neat wildlife, spiders and mushrooms ๐Ÿ„ ๐Ÿ˜€

Rough drive in but worth it. Beautiful place for snorkeling and exploring the ecosystem. Saw several varieties of fish. On Labor Day it was a little too crowded to see as well as Iโ€™d have liked but it was a hot day and the water was great! The facilities are not well maintained as every garbage can was running over and the toilet smelled to bad to go in. But nature is the star here and it is beautiful.
