All I can say is AMAZING! One of Tennessee's most beautiful falls. Heck of a hike so be prepared for sure. Water shots or sneakers you dont mind getting dirty and that can be washed, it's not a flip flop hike! Phones in lifepoof cases or water bags are a must. You can still get pictures without the risk of damaging or losing your phone if you drop it (use a lanyard too). We use a dry bag for a few miscellaneous things like blanket, a towel or 2 (we share) and car keys (dont want those wet if you have a fob). The hike trail down is narrow and there is a major drop off in areas and once you get to the water it's pretty treacherous. You have to walk over rocks and the rocks you have to walk on in the water can be very slippery and pretty deep and rushes hard in some areas. Like I said it's a heck of a hike but worth it if your prepared, absolutely stunning!

Chasing waterfalls on a Monday afternoon, don't mind if I do! This is supposedly the 8th tallest waterfall in Tennessee and it's worth a visit. You have to watch a safety video and it's suggested to wear a life jacket, as the hike to the waterfall has you crossing the water a couple times and it can be anywhere from waist to chest deep. Wear a good pair of hybrid shoes AKA (water/land) that have good traction. The incline on the mountainside during the hike sometimes can be quite steep. So with the heat and humidity recently, it's not suggested anybody with underlying health issues or breathing problems to take this hike as it can be quite strenuous. The waterfall overlook would be a better route as it's mostly flat. Glad to check this off my bucket list. You should too. Stay hydrated! Jesus loves you! 💓🙏

It is a bit of a hike to get to the falls but it is so worth it. Take water shoes and plenty of water. You will have to walk through the creek for .55 miles. The footing is very slick in places and you will have to climb over very large bolders to get up to the falls. The trail down to the creek is moderately steep and it is not flat. There are no bathrooms or trash cans along the trail or at the falls. There is a bathroom at the parking lot and it is very clean and has flush toilets. Keep in mind the falls are closed at 5 PM and the park closes at 6 PM. Just outside the park is a little store. Serves ice cream, drinks, sandwiches and souvenirs. They have an awesome chicken salad sandwich. To give you an idea of difficulty I am in my mid 50's and not in good shape.

Beautiful, but super crowded when it’s nice outside. Be prepared to pay over $6 per person, if you’re visiting the actual falls (where you criss-cross through the river on your way to the falls). We ran across a forest ranger on the trail just keeping an eye on things. It was nice that it’s monitored with so many people out there. The way to the falls is long and the rocks are super, super slippery! Be prepared to fall or slip. We ranged in age from 15 to 45 years old and every last one of us slipped or fell into the water at some point! Lol! It was an adventure! Bring a walking stick and good grippy shoes/sandals! The upper falls are free, but we didn’t visit those.

This was my first time going with my son and daughter. It was an absolutely amazing experience for all of us even though I got very tired walking back up the trail LORD!! I wasn't as prepared for this adventure. Should've had more water and snacks. If you don't have on water shoes and you have on slippery sneakers. You will most likely fall a few times so please have on the right shoes! Once you get to the very bottom, be extremely careful because it's very rocky and lots of water you'll be in that's when it gets slippery. It's an extremely long trail and could be very dangerous, so please be careful!! I hope this helps anyone who's deciding to take s trip there.

Coolest waterfall I have ever been too. The hike is through and next to a creek and it is beautiful the whole way. PLEASE pack out your own trash and do not smoke while you are here. Kids are enjoying the fresh air and dont need to be second hand smoking. waterfall is magnificent. God is truly amazing and his creation shows a glimpse into how amazing he truly is. Wear athletic non-slip shoes. Bring drinking water Bring a towel Dont leave ANY trash please
