A Hidden Gem on the Tennessee River Eva Beach Recreation Area is a true hidden gem for anyone seeking a peaceful escape. If you’re looking to avoid the typical summer crowds, this is your spot, especially during the week. We visited on a weekday and felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The atmosphere is incredibly serene, with a lovely sandy area giving way to the tree-lined shore of the Tennessee River. One of the most delightful aspects of our visit was the calmness of the water. It was as smooth as glass, creating a perfect mirror for the clear blue sky. The tranquility was only broken by the sound of fish constantly jumping, a testament to the healthy and thriving ecosystem. It's the kind of place where you can truly unplug and appreciate the simple beauty of nature, whether you're casting a line or just relaxing by the water's edge. The only minor drawback to an otherwise perfect day was the current mayfly hatch. While these harmless insects were certainly abundant, their presence is a temporary, natural phenomenon and, in a way, adds to the rustic charm of the location. Their intricate, delicate wings and long tails are quite fascinating up close, even if you’d prefer they weren’t sharing your sunshade! Despite the swarming mayflies, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. Eva Beach offers a rare combination of natural beauty, tranquility, and a front-row seat to local wildlife. It’s an ideal destination for a quiet afternoon of fishing, picnicking, or simply soaking in the peaceful scenery. We will definitely be back.

We are from out of state just driving around for a in a van looking for beautiful spots to spend some time. This little beach was a great place to spend the day. Beautifully kept park. Beach is small but very nice. White sand, clean water, just beautiful. We spent the day swimming and soaking up the sun. There is also kayaks available to rent

Great FREE public beach ❤️ Kayak & paddle board rentals through the State Park for a fee but it was only around $25 for the entire day per device & they're super friendly 👍 The beach is rocky once you get in the water so water shoes are recommend. There's a playground and restrooms as well.

Great spot to take the kids swimming. Not too crowded. Even had nice shade tree to sit under. Sandy beach and you know how sand gets EVERYWHERE! Ample parking, clean restrooms. My only complaint was another group let their dog run loose and he got into EVERYONE'S STUFF. We had our dog with us, but on leash, and this other dog loved to trample ours! Finally got ahold of one of the girls walking by from the group and asked if they could leash their dog. Got a snide look from her and off they went didn't see the dog again for about an hour but sure enough, he came running back messing with ours again... PINA but overall a good area to take the...

Playground, geese, kayaking, fishing, picnic tables, one covered picnic table area for groups. Swimming area and also a separate boat ramp access area. Great place for kids and adults to enjoy the outdoors. Also a Pokemon PokeStop and gym is there. Separate bathrooms with handicap accessible abilities. Down the ROAD is a camper area, camping area and cabin cove. Must reserve those through the TWRA...
