A Hidden Gem on the Tennessee River Eva Beach Recreation Area is a true hidden gem for anyone seeking a peaceful escape. If you’re looking to avoid the typical summer crowds, this is your spot, especially during the week. We visited on a weekday and felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The atmosphere is incredibly serene, with a lovely sandy area giving way to the tree-lined shore of the Tennessee River. One of the most delightful aspects of our visit was the calmness of the water. It was as smooth as glass, creating a perfect mirror for the clear blue sky. The tranquility was only broken by the sound of fish constantly jumping, a testament to the healthy and thriving ecosystem. Their intricate, delicate wings and long tails are quite fascinating up close, even if you’d prefer they weren’t sharing your sunshade! Despite the swarming mayflies, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. Eva Beach offers a rare combination of natural beauty, tranquility, and a front-row seat to local wildlife. It’s an ideal destination for a quiet afternoon of fishing, picnicking, or simply soaking in the peaceful scenery. We will...

Finally got ahold of one of the girls walking by from the group and asked if they could leash their dog. Got a snide look from her and off they went didn't see the dog again for about an hour but sure enough, he came running back messing with ours again... PINA but overall a good area to take the...
