I recently had the pleasure of visiting Indian Boundary Park in Tennessee, and it was truly a remarkable experience. From the beautiful beach to the serene trail around the lake, this park offers a little slice of paradise for nature enthusiasts like myself.
Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff at the camp store. Their warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home. Not only that, but I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices of the items they offered. It's always refreshing to find a place that prioritizes customer satisfaction. The store also had an impressive array of rental options, including kayaks, canoes, paddle bikes, and more. This added convenience allowed me to explore the lake in a whole new way and create unforgettable memories.
As I ventured further into the park, I couldn't help but notice the cleanliness of the entire area. The park staff does an excellent job of maintaining its natural beauty. The tidy picnic areas, and sparkling clean restrooms were a testament to their dedication and hard work.
One of the highlights of my visit was undoubtedly the beach. The crystal-clear water, and breathtaking views created a serene and relaxing atmosphere. I spent the day soaking up the sun and taking refreshing dips in the lake. It was an absolute joy.
But that wasn't all. The trail that encircles the lake offered a delightful adventure through nature. As I meandered along the path, I was surrounded by the sights and sounds of wildlife. The tranquil ambiance was the perfect backdrop for some much-needed introspection and connection with the natural world.
Indian Boundary Park truly exceeded my expectations as a day trip destination.
I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable day trip in Tennessee. Whether you're looking to unwind on the beach, embark on a scenic hike, rent a kayak or canoe, or simply enjoy a picnic in the great outdoors, this park has it all.
Thank you, Indian Boundary Park, for providing such an exceptional experience. I can't wait to...
Read moreWe've been camping here for years and it's hands-down our favorite campground within several counties. The sites are large and flat, the store is well stocked and the prices are reasonable (that is, not a ripoff like campground stores usually are), and there's a nice lake with picnic areas and some well maintained walking trails. But...
Be warned... whoever the campground host is for the 2016 season struck us as a legalistic, uptight busybody who practically ruined the atmosphere of what would otherwise have been a great camping experience. I should have known better by the signs that have been posted everywhere from trash bins to the bathrooms (where a wordy, full page note having something to do with dog hair had been taped to the shower stalls).
For example, speed limits in the loops are posted at 15. Apparently he took issue with me screaming by his campsite at a nose-bleeding 12 MPH, because he chased me halfway around the loop on foot and followed me into my campsite where he proceeded to scold me for recklessly speeding.
Later on, we watched him yell at a young (elementary age) child for riding his trike on the sidewalk!
That's the sort of behavior we'd expect from an overzealous HOA president, but not from a campground host. If he wants to run a tight ship and treat adults like children we'll just stay...
Read moreI'm giving this campground a 1 star, mostly for one reason. The Ranger. I won't be returning to this camp ground again. I've been camping in east TN all my life and grew up in these campgrounds ever since I was a child. Now I'm 30 and have my own family and kids I take camping. This last time I was up here, while inside the camp ground gate, I had my wife and kid sitting up front with me while driving to the camp store (driving very slowly because kids playing around the camp ground) and the ranger (while standing on the side of the road) saw my daughter sitting up in the front seat in my wife's lap, he yelled at me to stop and pull over and ask me if I had a legitimate reason that my child was not in a car seat buckled up. I've been riding on tail gates and laps my whole life in a camp ground and this ranger writes me a $150 ticket for unrestrained child... That's ridiculous! I'm not going to support a camp...
