Mound Bottom State Archaeological Area — Attraction in Tennessee

Roy & I took the short hike to the Indian mounds at Mound Bottom this afternoon. Aaron Deter-Wolf | Prehistoric Archaeologist from Tennessee Division of Archaeology led us & shared Indian history dating back to the Mississippian period. I loved my first visit which was during the week. The guide, my friend, and I hiked to the top of the ceremonial mound and sat there in the October breeze looking over the area as though the ceremony was happening. We could feel the energy.
