Easy, short, and shared with cyclists Rating: 4/5 We visited Nesting Park and hiked the Stinky Trail, which is about a mile long and quite easy. I’m overweight and had no issues completing it, so it’s a great option for beginners or anyone looking for a low-effort walk. The only hiccup was sharing the path with a group of cyclists. We had to step aside several times to let them pass. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it’s worth noting that this is a shared-use trail, so stay alert. Overall, it was a good experience and a pleasant, manageable hike. Tips: - Go during off-peak times if you want fewer cyclists. - Keep right and listen for approaching bikes. - Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

There are several hiking and biking trails. The trailers seem pretty well marked, overall. They are dirt trails, rustic, but doable. The blue trail was ok for my kids aged 7-11. Might be muddy after rain. It was summer, so any creeks were dried up. Not sure how many bikers use this, but did see bike trails on even the blue trail, so watch your back. Highly recommended for trail experience for kids or adult, in heart of Bartlett .

Nesbit Park is a nice retreat from the surrounding subdivisions. It provides both mountain bike trails and hiking. The hiking trail could use some clearing in places and it's not always clear where you need to go when you come to a fork. Be prepared to do a little back tracking till you get the hang of it. Only real down side is the street noise can be heard all throughout the park.

I biked the white trail and checked out the pump track. Positives: Not super hilly. Just enough to keep your blood pumping. The trails are pretty well beaten down, so you're not likely to veer off course unintentionally. (Although I will say there are more trails than what the map shows, especially in the area of the red trails.) There are multiple places where you can pick up the trail from surrounding streets and neighborhoods, which is nice if you live nearby. Negatives: I'm not sure why these trails have such good ratings. They're definitely not well marked or maintained. I came across many large fallen trees spanning across the trail and had to dismount and find a way around through the poison ivy. At one spot there were boards on the trail with nails sticking out. "Luckily" I stepped on one of the nails and realized they were there before risking blowing a tire on one. The trails are also very rooty, which isn't horrible if you have rear shocks, but I don't. I also came across a collapsed wooden bridge. You're much better off going to Shelby farms...

These trails a great for trail running if you’re looking for a good workout but they aren’t well maintained (overgrowth and blocked paths) and they aren’t well marked. If you want to set out for a certain distance you just have to run and figure it out as you go and hope you are going the right way. It’s in an unexpected area, right in the middle of a neighborhood but it’s supposed to be about 7-8 miles worth of trail. The map at the beginning had numbers missing so that’s an estimate. You can wear bug spray but it’s not going to help anything due to the insane amount of mosquitoes. I went at the end of May on a 95 degree day. It was cool inside the trees but recent rain made it perfect conditions for swarms...
