I fell in love with Tennessee today, partially due to this beautiful hidden gem off rt 74. I was actually on my way to find another swimming spot but found this on the way and jumped at the opportunity. I've never been to a beach where payment was done with an envelope or a QR code. If you're not from around here then you might lose signal but I got it back right by the water. It's only$3 for a day pass so it's totally worth it. The water was warm on top and cold on the bottom but it's so clear and blueish with a little green; simply breathtaking. 12/10, I can't wait to go back!! Also, this is not your mom's house, please pick up your trash and leave no trace.

I'm a kayaker. So, my review is really of Parksville Lake. I put in at a pulloff between the dam and marina. It had a dirt ramp that got closer to the water. I spent 6 hours on the lake. It was the best paddling experience I've had so far. There are very few places to come ashore. Another kayaker saw black bears in the woods, down one of the inlets, so be careful. I did stop at Parksville Beach to eat lunch, and pulled my kayak up on the dock. They have bathrooms, but the door was broken to the one I used. There's a small beach and swimming area, as well as picnic tables. Everyone I came across was friendly. Nobody bothered my car or stuff.

This place is actually kind of a diamond in the rough but nobody really knows about. There’s not really a beach area or Sandy area but there is a place that you can lounge and catch some sun and get a good swim in. There are clean bathrooms, and plenty of parking.

This is as bad as it gets if youve ever been to a real beach, much less South Florida were Im from. Even for a lake its attrocious. There are a couple if ladders down to mucky water where you cant even see half the stone steps. There is a retaining wall separating the water from the grassy area that borders the water. Theres some sort of weird mud mixed with stones and tree roots once you get in the water and you cant see even a foot underneath.

I guess its clean on the grass and theres restrooms but the $3 fee is better spent on just filling your bathtub and swimming in there. How do you even pay by QR code? Theres no cell...
