Very affordable tour package and a down to earth gentleman with an interesting, folksy, and personal attachment to Shiloh Church. Larry was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We share a passion for history and he has several personal connections to the history and people of the area. I could have spent days rummaging through his artifacts. Cannister shot, spent artillery shell frags, weather worn rifles, and a collection of bullets and shells, the likes I dare say I never saw before nor ever will again. His collection of miniature soldiers, and Indians is impressive as well. The Widow Bells family bible sat quietly in the open in an unassuming table. The interpreter center has a small museum, and a video detailing what happened during the battle. If you are trying to follow the footsteps of an ancestor and know the regiment, maps are available for you to follow. The NPS staff are also always ready to help. A few months ago a tornado ripped through the park and brought down many trees, so keep this in mind when you arrive. It does not diminish the...

Such an amazing experience to sit down with a friendly Tennessee native stranger and make friends. So happy we came across this place. I hope to be back one day and listen to...
