Walls Family Farm — Attraction in Terrell

The perfect family Christmas tradition is a trip out to Walls on a Saturday in December to choose your Christmas tree. We've headed out each year the past five years to cut down our tree. Walls has a good selection of different size trees spread over dozens of acres.

It's a fun Texas farm experience from the wagon ride out to the trees to the country barn decorated for the Holidays to the farm dogs lounging on the wagon or the barn's porch. It's a comfortable, fun, no-frills experience to cut down your Christmas tree. Expect to get muddy and wet if you go anytime just after a storm. They have saws but bring your own for convenience. Great customer service to help measure, wrap and load your tree. Not too expensive, about what you'd pay in a Home Depot parking lot (or less usually). Love, love, loved my time visiting the Walls Family Farm. It will definitely be a traditional stop every year we are in Texas for the holidays. First the property is beautiful. There is plenty of parking and tons of space for large groups. The trees weren’t as full or large due to the dry season but they had plenty to choose from. On-hand wreaths and pre-cut trees too. If you are a first time visitor, I suggest bringing a pair of work gloves to avoid the stickiness from the tree sap. They provide handsaws but you can totally bring an electric one. We went for their pumpkin patch. Its not your typical fall pumpkin patch, however the place is huge and there are so many things for kids and adults to play with. The owners are nice folks. If you are looking for crowd this is not your place as this is their second year to open for public during fall. If you want your little ones to play and have fun. This is the place for you.
