Hiking trails are of easy difficulty. Majority of trails have drinking fountains along the trail. Small catch and release fishing pond within park.

Had a great daytrip to Abilene State Park. Trails, day hiking, picnicking, beautiful scenery. Nice weather the day we got the privalge to go. We will be making plans to go back soon to campout and fish.

Abilene State Park outside Buffalo Gap is a beautiful park that has great accomodations. We stay in wagon wheel for an event w 30 or so & have access to the rec/ kitchen facilities & it is very nice & roomy inside. The park has nice bathroom/ shower houses, yurts, tent camping & day camp areas, a large pool open in summer & dump stations.wildlife, lots of treesa playground & plenty...
