Aqua Planet Waterpark — Attraction in Texas

We went to this small waterpark for my nieces birthday. Right when you are paying and signing in, (which is PRETTY PRICY FOR THE SIZE OF THIS PLACE) it Has a Strong smell of chlorine which I understand you need for water parks but I will explain more about that later. I was the only one of our group who didn’t enter the water for personal reasons. I was just supervising the children and talk with the family watching them swim, we were there for about 6hrs. Very chill location, I had already thought about going back but I will explain why we will never attend again. 5 children and 1 adult in our group developed Hand foot and mouth disease from a couple days to a week after we attended. My youngest daughter who is six got it the most severe(she had to miss her first two weeks of school the following week. We went on a Saturday and my kids started school that following Tuesday). How I know it was this place is because the children have not started school yet and 3 other children with us live in Houston and that was the only location we met up to be together! The kids Area of this is very dirty, the water is just recycled through the bottom and brought back up. Bees surround the areas if you have any sweet drinks. There are swampy dirty water in the grass. The pool tiles are all falling off which is what I assume is happening because they are putting WAY to much chlorine in the water to expect that to clean whatever sicknesses or bacteria could be in that water. I feel they are not properly cycling it when the park is closed but just dumping loads of chlorine. Some pictures on Facebook and yelp are vey miss leading on how this place precedes itself. So I have my daughter call the place for information and they were very rude the first time she called. It’s seem as if they just wanted to get off the phone. Then she called again and they hung up on her after the answered her question. Mind you she still had another question but just they just hung up. What’s up with this place. You would think they are just opening their business and want you to feel welcomed. This is not good for business. My friend and I are gonna take our kids and see what it’s like and I’ll keep everyone posted.

Ok, so we visited the place after the bad experience over the phone and I do not recommend it. I had to pay even though I was not getting in the water. The water was very cloudy and the park looked like it was not completely finished. The concept is nice but they really need to finish all the painting, landscaping and filling up all the pools. The paint on the water slides was still wet that my daughters swim suit got ruined because I got paint all over it. I was very upset and the manager just said “ I’ll have someone put a sign that the pint is wet. “ no sorry no refund. I was like what the heck is this kind of customer service. We visited this water park with a group of seven and spent over $200 just to get in. Given the price, we expected a decent experience—but what we found was extremely disappointing and concerning.

Only one adult slide was operational, and several of the children's slides were also out of service. The park was visibly run-down and poorly maintained, with rust in the water and loose bolts on at least one slide, which visibly rocked from side to side even when a small child used it. This raised serious safety concerns.

The conditions were unacceptable. The bathrooms were filthy, with visible smears and an overwhelming odor. The flooring around the slopes leading into the water had no texture at all, making it dangerously easy to slip and fall. There were no ladders provided to enter or exit the water safely either.

Perhaps most disturbing was the treatment of the animals on site. The dogs appeared neglected and uncomfortable, and witnessing this was deeply upsetting.

This park is severely overpriced for what it offers. It felt unsafe, unclean, and unsettling overall. I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone, especially families...
