A friend and I drove here to see the light show in the Christmas week of December 2019, and I enjoyed it. All the Christmas lights were so pretty at night, when we arrived, plus they had an entire radio station dedicated to playing Christmas music that suited the scenery. The entry fee was very reasonable, at $10, though there were a lot of cars ahead of us. That made the drive slow, but I did not mind; more opportunities to take photos of the cute light-up figures and animations that was on display there! From Rudolph and the other reindeers, Frosty the snowman, the Santa Claus family and other old traditional Christmas folktales ... this place did not fail to entertain me on it's creativity and inclusive environment on everything Holidays-related. My favourite scene had to be nearing the end, with the light-up tunnel that encompassed our entire vehicle in a beautiful array of lights. This place is a definite must-visit for the whole family, whether you are living near or visiting TX. The Christmas light up show at BLORA is a blast. All the money collected goes into funding the park and other charities, so it is for a...
Read moreI have had my RV here several times now. The staff in the office are great. They are always ready to assist you. If its your first time here with an RV pull in over by the propane tanks and walk in the office to register. I have to stay up on top of the hill because I have T-mobile and there is no signal in the lower spots. But the lower spots are tucked away in the trees and look very nice. Up on the hill some of the utility hook-ups are poorly placed and in need of some repair. Use caution when hooking up your electric. Some of the connections and breakers are very loose. The lower RV spots look good. If you need anything from the store, Walmart and places like that and Sunbelt RV if you need RV parts are about 10-15 minutes away. It would be nice if they didn't have the very load big voice/bugle speaker system. The lake picnic areas are huge with multiple places to launch a boat depending on the water level. (water level pictures are from last year)The fees to use the facilities are minimal considering what you get. Overall a very nice...
