Spent two nights here in spot 28 - waterfront spot. Great view, but we got the full force of the lake winds.

Look - the park is very nice and feels similar in keeping to other places we’ve visited - so if you’re expecting groundbreaking this isn’t it. However, it is worth the stay - it’s well off 111 so you don’t hear any road noise. The entire park is secured behind gates - we could let the kids run around at the playground without a ton of worry - nicely lit too. There was a similar playground/playscape within the Tent camping section too. Just FYI - the gates are secured from vehicles - anyone could walk in.

Another big plus is we could borrow fishing poles for the kids from Lake Texana Park across 111. Saturday nature activities for the kids at Lake Texana were somewhat organized - the kiddos didn’t notice at least. There was a ‘stocked’ pond onsite.

Didn’t see much of the hosts, but the restrooms were nice and the place was manicured nicely.

All the spots seem to be back-in and everything functioned (no cable). Plenty...

Really big park with a lot to do. There are miles of walking and biking trails, a fishing pier, a playground, three bath houses (two of them have laundry), and a camp store. We stayed in a pull through site. The pavement isn't great, and the roads are the same as the site pavement, which makes it difficult to figure out where you are supposed to drive. We arrived after the office closed, so we grabbed our packet from the basket out front. There were no directions to our site. It was a good thing that many sites were empty because I had to go through one the wrong way in order to get to ours. We spent 5 nights here on two visits in a week long trip and will definitely consider it in the future. Another thing to consider is signal. Our Verizon and AT&T signal wasn't great, and the park wifi wasn't fast enough for good streaming. We keep DVDs in the coach, so it wasn't a big...

Great family atmosphere and so serene. This place is a great place to both relax and to have fun! Everyone is helpful and our camping neighbors were pretty chill and nice. We jet skied in the water and had a blast. Our camping site was right on the water and we could just jump in when we wanted to. The specific place we were parked at have a low water level at first and slowly got deeper, so that was a great plus for the kids. You need to keep your dog on a leash the whole time and make sure they are being supervised. There's a pretty nice trail also, my extended family got lost there, but hey....that's just a good memory now. We will certainly be back. The prices are very reasonable as well. The downside are the mosquitoes, they will attack you at night...so...

Easily the nicest campgrounds we have had the pleasure to stay at. Most sites have a direct view of the water and are incredibly spacious and well priced. Full amenities for RV hookups, as well as the ability to put 3 tents per site if you are an old school camper like us. Each site includes a fire ring, BBQ grill, and picnic table too. Lots of activities for families like fishing, disk golf, kayaking, etc. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and even had a shower and washer/dryer included. There is a lot of wildlife to see as well so you can tell the grounds are well maintained. I did not get a chance to see what their office/store had in stock but we definitely plan to come back for many more times this summer as a safe vacation!
