Cassels-Boykin Park — Attraction in Texas

This place is affordable and clean. It has no showers which sucks if you tent camp or have a pop-up with no shower (like we did). They don't warn you before you reserve if there is a wedding planned so then you have to deal with all the extra traffic (people & cars) and noise (it did stop at 10pm though) and the day use section was closed when we went so we couldn't even swim to cool off (except we snuck through the woods and did) We probably wont gl back until they get...

We loved that they had a handicap pier for our son who loves fishing. But it was filthy down here trash overflowing and it was like that last week. The parking lot was also filthy paper cans everywhere disgusting. We were here on the 19th and the bathrooms were also filthy nothing has changed except it got mowed. Who takes care of this? If someone is getting paid for this they are lacking in their job. This is a beautiful park what's keep it that way please clean...

Beautiful park, not a lot of people there. Great for boat launching and hanging out by the lake. A nice fishing pier. If you chose to hike, all trail app with a gps is a must - there are almost no trail markers. We were getting lost constantly (despite being experienced hikers), and we gave up after about an hour and just went back to sit and hang out by the lake. Overall, very...
