Beautiful. Lots to do. The salt water is so blue and Sandy and waves. The birds are awesome. As its windy they fly towards the wind. Kids truely enjoy it. Lots to tour and explore.

Had a reservation for my toterhome . Got to park and was turned away because they said it’s not a motorhome. It’s registered as a motorhome.

Been coming here for many years. It's been a while since I've been here, it is now owned by the city, this will be the last time I will be coming, the people in the office are rude, incompetent , and liars. They charge each person whatever they feel like charging. When you come in, the woman ( newbie ) asked how many people were in my vehicle, I told her it was my daughter, and myself. I was charged $78.00 for two nights, and a day pass for the third day, my brother, and his family came in the same day, was staying the same amount of time, and was only charged $60. They staple your receipt to a paper you put on your dash. On the second day wondering why it cost so much, I asked my brother hown much he paid, this is when I found out he was only charged $60 for the same amount of people, and the same amount of time. I then confronted the people in the office, after asking them why I was charged more, the woman ( Lucy) said that I was charged for two adults and I child. Well, it was only my daughter, and myself. After insisting there were two adults, and one child (Basically calling me a liar )she said pretty much, too bad, we have your money, get lost. She said I should have looked at the paperwork before I left the office, but assuming they knew what they were doing, i didn't have any reason to question it at that time. I may be a lot of things, but a liar isn't one of them. This place has gone to the dumps. The first night we were here, the police were called out, there was a mob of people running after the officer, because he had placed two people under arrest for public intoxication, all day long we were subjected to extremely loud vulgar music, management did nothing to stop this. To sum it up, this is a horrible place, more like a drunken frat party, than the friendly, family friendly place it once was. I posted these pictures before I realized how much of a dump this place has become. Sure, the views of the lake are beautiful, but in my opinion, it's not...

Extremely disappointed! This campground "closes - locks" the public restrooms from 3:40pm until almost 8:00am the next day! You read correctly. Never heard of this or experienced such unsanitary policies anywhere! The restrooms had no or minimal toilet paper most of the time, no soap dispenser or mirror, no hooks to hang clothes/towels to take a shower. They offer a disgustingly dirty, stinky porta-potty that had the mens urinal clogged with sanitary napkin plastic wrap for three days before someone cleaned it out despite our complaints. No toilet paper, no sanitizer in the porta-potty! We asked for toiler paper for the porta-potty for two days! Unsanitary conditions and terrible to no customer service - no improvements - they really don't care. Campground seems to be managed partly by City of Corpus Christy and partly by Texas Parks and Wildlife - no answers to calls of complaints - numbers out of service. They would not return calls to help. Neither seem to know who to call for service. Park employee (City Corpus Christy) stated he could close the restrooms anytime after noon - he said a sign is posted in the office. Ridiculous and completely unacceptable! Employee at front office leaves just before 4pm - no one to get you in the campsite or deal...

There security guard wouldn't even let us in when my family pays $300 a week too stay here from Houston! I have a infant and a 6 year old in my car and drove an hour over here too be rejected for visiting my family cause it's after 4pm???!?! Security guard or not, the company is losing business over this. Someone needs to let paul blart know how things go and that the people renting ARE ALOUD TO HAVE GUEST THERE TO VISIT. Especially PAYING 300 A WEEK FOR A SPOT! Get it together cause your losing another known costumer. He...
