Disappointed that the focus was on dinosaurs and Noahic flood mostly. The scientific evidence for recent creationism is broad and compelling. But the compelling evidence that is vast was not a focus. I wish that this was more fact based that went into the weaknesses of evolution especially since the discovery of DNA. This entire exhibit seems to fit the year 1958 including the host on the film more than 2018. I do not think this exhibit will appeal to your typical evolutionist. I think this exhibit appeals to the shallow minded person that believes in creationism but lacks the knowledge of science to support his view. But as for me, I learned more, much more, by reading Henry Morris book on Genesis and searching YouTube on the subject of creationism science.
Secondly, much can be learned from drilling down in the Hebrew in Genesis. Example....Gen 1:1 says God created the heavens and the earth.....this would be translated today as "space and matter"....because planet Earth was not created until later. No words existed in paleo Hebrew to express this by Moses. When God said "let there be light".... the sense is that light originally had infinite speed. It was changed to separate light from darkness. The great galactic distances only exist because of not factoring in this original infinite light speed.
Thirdly, the original word to describe the "Noahic Flood" is the Persian word..."mabul" which meant ....the destruction. This event was cataclysmic with meteors, earthquakes, great shaking, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, volcanic activity, and continental upheavals in addition to rain, flooding, and water phenomena. Furthermore, the very atmosphere that enveloped the earth was changed...less barametric pressure. The nostrils on dinosaurs are much too small to sustain movement at the current barametric level. They simply needed much more oxygen at a higher pressure level. Those dinosaurs that were carried through the flood by Noah could not survive into the new lower barametric pressure world after the flood. They quickly died out. Lifespans for all earth animals was shortened including mankind.
The point is.....we have much scientific knowledge to support recent creationism. I wish more content on the science aspect that supports recent creationism was a part of this museum experience. Go...
Read moreLet me begin by clarifying that I am a young earth creationist who affirms a six-day literal creation as described in Genesis. My review is not based on a disagreement with that perspective. In fact, I’ve visited both the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter and found them to be thoughtful, well-designed, and spiritually enriching experiences.
There are some positive aspects worth noting. The museum features a number of interesting exhibits, and my two young sons especially enjoyed the fossil displays, historic Bibles, and the butterfly collection. Admittedly, much of the content was above their level, but that’s to be expected given their age and wasn’t a major concern.
However, I feel it’s important to address several significant issues. The amount of material specifically focused on creation evidence is surprisingly limited. The overall layout gives the impression of a scattered assortment of donated items rather than a cohesive presentation of scientific or theological arguments for creation. Some exhibits—such as those promoting the political significance of modern Israel—seem to stray far from the stated mission of the museum. These displays reflect a dispensationalist theology that emphasizes national Israel rather than the fulfillment of God’s promises in Christ, and that theological orientation is neither explained nor critically examined.
Perhaps most concerning is the display of items like the “Trump-Cyrus coin,” which felt more political than educational, and the sale of King James Only literature—an unfortunate promotion of a dogmatic and historically uninformed position.
In terms of aesthetics, the signage and overall presentation inside the museum leave much to be desired. Many signs are visually cluttered, poorly designed, or simply uninviting, which detracts from the educational experience. A more intentional and professional approach to exhibit design would go a long way in helping visitors engage with the material more meaningfully.
In the end, the lack of substantive creation content, the confusion of theological priorities, and the promotion of fringe ideologies combine to make this museum a disappointing experience. I would recommend passing on this one in favor of more thoughtfully curated and theologically sound...
Read more🤠As a Native Texan and Christian ✟🙏🏽, I find this place an embarrassment. However dear and pure the intentions of the staff or those funding this utter nonsense, it perpetuates a caricature that makes Christians look like fools.
Faith and reason can and do coexist for many of us. I don’t understand the fear of children learning the scientific process—if anything, the more we uncover about life and the universe, the more awe-inspiring it becomes. That sense of wonder and mystical design can coexist with intellectual integrity.
The most imperative Christian message—♥️LOVE for ALL♥️, especially the marginalized—is absolutely worth sharing. But misinformation like this undermines our credibility as believers and as the thoughtful, reasoning humans God created us to be 🧠🧠🧠💡💡💡.
If you truly want to teach Biblical values, focus on meaningful messages like environmental stewardship. Christians have a responsibility to care for and nurture creation, not harm it or spread falsehoods in its name.
Take care and God bless.
(As a side note: If those behind this museum are truly the extremist fire-and-brimstone believers they seem to be, take head, manipulating people and peddling misinformation for power or profit in the name of Jesus?!?!...I imagine there are more lightning strikes in this area than usual. ⚡️⚡️⚡️time will tell)
It wouldn’t surprise me if this review is reported or removed. For a place claiming a high rating, I suspect some of the 4-5 star reviews are more tongue-in-cheek than genuine—likely flying over the heads of those running this museum. That or the honest reviews are deleted. Ironic.
