Public access and free. When we travel we usually travel with our dog. Perfect spot for them to get wet. This place has a walk in area beyond the dam. It's shallow enough for kids and dogs. The dam area is usually the popular spot to swim or kayak. There is enough marked parking next to the bal field you just have to walk your things down to the river. Road is a one way street but there is a drop off and unload entrance then you can park.

Pretty cool spot only thing that kind of made me feel uncomfortable was the fact that just one day prior to visiting a 14 year old boy drowned to death here . Water is pretty deep in some areas and I can't swim so I'm not trying to be another statistic . I kept imagining a body was gonna float by me and it made me nervous so I just sat on the bank smoking ciggs and drinking beer until it was time to go . Also on another visit I saw a naked man so I guess I don't really like this place very much .

Crying shame! This used to be a favorite place of mine to visit but itās apparent the local government has diverted funds across the street to the athletic field. Skip this place and go swim in town until the city decides to give it the attention it deserves. I was totally shocked when I pulled up to the river. They have some āBo-Johnāsā that havenāt been emptied since the Civil War Iām sure!

Weāve lived near this beautiful park for 3 years and only just visited! This park has a nice swimming hole, not too cold, perfect for children. There are soccer fields and a play scape. We went on a Friday around 7pm, and did not have any trouble finding parking, despite the place being pretty busy. We will definitely be coming back with our nieces and nephew!

Not much water at all. In fact, a fair portion was bone dry, though was happy to at least find a small portion where I could test out if my dog liked to swim. Be careful of the forget me nots (spikey balls) as I kept getting them stuck to my feet when walking down to the water. Recommend bringing something to sit on as it's all rocks.

There was a tiny bit of water, I went January 6,2023. It seemed very peaceful I only eventually ran into 2 other people. The problem is, there are these big annoying stickers and they kept getting stuck in my dogs paws, so watch out for that. I just feel like thereās nothing much here and I really donāt know if Iāll be back.
