The site we reserved several months ago was closed due to a water pipe construction and we were assigned another site. The man checking us in was very gruff and unfriendly. The site was covered in red ant beds. There was dog poop right next to our tires where we were trying to level the trailer. Dogs were running from other campsites without being leashed. We could barely reach the water hose connection, even Parking as far back as we could. We had to use two sections of hose, and it was a very taught fit. The sites are so narrow that when we stepped out of the trailer we landed on a parking curb possibly twisting an ankle. The bathrooms were filthy and had no handwashing soap. The dump station had large mud ruts making it impossible to keep your feet dry. In general, everything is messy and dirty, and needs a lot of maintenance to bring it up to par.

This was our first time here and we had a blast. Although it was super cold at night because of the water the day time was amazing. It was peaceful. We had a tent our neighbors on both side had RV's. They were both friendly. The lady at front was super nice and friendly. We didn't catch anything but our neighbors did and also offered us things. The bathroom was clean when hot there on Friday but Sunday kind of went down hill. That's more of the visitors being nasty and not caring but I most certainly will be back. This might become my home away from home!

Gorgeous landscape. We were there in our small travel trailer on a Thursday night and the sites were mostly empty. We backed up right up against the lake in a mostly-level site. Maybe 40-50' between sites. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Supposedly there are huge carp in the lake, if that's what you're looking to fish. Bathrooms are on the cleaner side of average for a natural campground. Will probably stay here again, especially for only $14/night.

Really not even 1star...I paid to fish. The lady up front told me to park in spot that no one camped in...now there's no one in any of them. So I'm handy cap..so I find one that is not for a camp they were working on it. So I parked there. So been there about an hour. This man comes and looks at my car. And walks down we're im at. Remember I'm disabled...so it was a little walk to the lake of course two trips and with a cane. So he says I see you have a day pass I say yes sir paid up there were the nice lady was. He says well you can't park there .it's in a handy camp site that's being worked on.i said lady up front says I could I told him I'm disabled he said I'm sorry but can't park here. (I know it's long but bare with me). So I said so we're do you park he shwed mewere it's a 1/4 mile at least. I'm like ok but sir I paid im not bothering no one . So can I stay here please. No sorry you have to move . So he says that the campers may come in and want this spot. I said this spot is not working. He said yeah I understand that. But you still got to move. I said well. What time did you check in? He said three. I said okay. Well it's 2:30. I'll stay till 3:00 3:15 then I'll you know leave. He was like no you need to leave now because or not leave but move now because they might be coming in and I just established that it's 3:00 check-in. He said yes sometimes they come at 10:00. I said do you let him go in it at 10:00? He said no I said exactly so anyway. Long story short, I'm sorry this guy would not work with me. There was nobody there. I didn't understand so I won't be going back there. I've been to Mott Park plenty of times and never had a problem of parking in one of the camp to walk a little bit to fish. I think this guy just had a little bit of power in him. He was like you know you can't part here so anyway won't...

Staff is horrifically bad. I've never met a more hateful group of people. Snapped at us before we even made it in the gate, twice. First, we got there two minutes before the gate was supposed to close due to traffic, and they had already closed it. I wouldn't have blamed them for not opening it for us, but they actually reopened the gate for someone who lives behind the gate, yelled at us that they weren't going to let us in (we didn't even ask for that, they just proactively assumed we were going to) and then talked about us like we weren't there to each other, saying "some think they own the place and should be allowed to do whatever the they want." So we left our vehicle outside, per the rules, and had to get a ride from friends to our campsite.

We were part of a group that purchased five sites next to each other, and when we went to bring in our vehicle in the morning, they were livid that we didn't know which of the five sites would be ours. So, to appease them, I guessed, and they angrily told us "someone is already in that one." These were sites we had already paid for, and we had significantly less people, tents, and vehicles than we were allowed to have. I understand they probably have to deal with some nasty people sometimes, but they just proactively went...
