I absolutely love this course, the holes are challenging enough as a beginner and not incredibly frustrating like courses like UTD can be. I have only lost 3-4 discs there so far in the 8-9 times I've gone and it was more from negligence on my part, not the course difficulty. The creeks are woven masterfully in a few of the initial holes, with one large pond to drive over on tee 7. 10-14 have us throwing around trees in a nice shaded wooded area which is a godsend during the Texas summers. I typically go early in the morning on my days off, and while it's typically empty, the few people I see out there are simply walking dogs, jogging, or playing basketball. Not smoking weed in the bushes or lurking about like the homeless at BBO.
Bill Allen is a treat, if you're learning how to play, I recommend it. I have taught several people how to play on this course, and they've fallen in love with the sport, definitely due in part to Bill Allen's course layout. Stop reading the reviews and...
Read moreIt's dry lately, so this place is quite playable. But as usual, be prepared to fish at least one disc out at some point. Has some nice challenges in both strategy and skill; play long? lay up? forehand, backhand, tomahawk... you'll need a full bag of tricks here. Some nicely thought out challenges.
If it's the wet season, or even a month past, this course can be a really nasty slog. You'll need bug spray more...
Read moreThis is a really cool and challenging course with something for everyone. Can tend to be a little muddy after heavy rain and the back nine will have substantial puddles (they're big and murky, I've lost a disc in one before).. so keep that in mind. Also, I've heard of parasites in the pond you shoot over on hole 6 - so of you toss a disc in there I would...
