I've done this trail 2 times & will continue to return. I love it! The first mile or so of the trail is the shared golf cart/bike/pedestrian trail that abuts the golf course. I've personally never had an issue sharing the trail with the golf carts. There is plenty of space to step to the side if necessary when passing. There are several places along the trail that are prone to flooding after heavy rain. Be prepared to get muddy and do some puddle jumping if you go after a rainy period like I did recently. But it was still fun! And my dog had a blast too. My first time on the trail we saw a skunk. Thankfully the skunk did not see us. There are all kinds of animal tracks around, including deer tracks. There are benches and trash cans along the trail. I rarely see many other people, which is partly why I enjoy this trail so much. Very peaceful for an early morning walk. The trailhead parking lot has a bicycle pump and tools if you need to do some quick repairs. Thought that was really cool! Overall, it is a great trail with wonderful views...

Reached to the end of the trail and there is a good small beach, although didn’t jump into the water but saw few people with their boats were swimming. it got dark on our way back and we were able to spot some deers. It seemed we were the only people on the trail. Overall a good secluded area lace for a good walk. It took us 1 hr and 30 mins to complete the full trail, we parked on a parking lot on Lebanon where...
Read moreThis is actually a really cool trail. At first it will seem a little weird though, because you are sharing a small portion of the trail with golf carts. And the first 1/4 to 1/2 of the trail goes through The Tribute Golf Course. But after you pass the golf course, the views of Lake Lewisville are are beautiful.
Also, watch out for flooding during the rainy season. During the spring 2020, part of the trail was washed out for a...
