The teaching is solidly on the Bible in all ways. They are solid on Christ and Christ alone is the way to eternal life with God by accepting Him as savior. The character of God is always taught as loving, merciful and forgiving. It is also taught what our responsibilities are to God, each other and ourselves and how we are to walk daily in our lives. I love that all instruction, even on difficult topics is delivered with gentle love and encouragement. There is great community outreach and even some partnering with other churches and local organizations. If you speak Spanish, every service is interpreted on a phone app anyone can use with an ear piece. In general, people are warm, friendly and make a point to greet new comers. Every few month they host a lunch for new comers and all the elders attend and space themselves about the room so they are at each table. I love the people here (5 stars). I didn’t love the culture here when we were attending (1 star). From my perspective, there appeared to be a major lack of transparency and accountability amongst the leadership. The overall health of people in leadership and the people gathering there suffer when this dynamic is present. Institutional preservation appeared to be a high priority at the expense of doing ministry the way Jesus modeled.
